"The best online game EVER(And it's free!)"

Want to play a different online game aside the likes of Quake 3 or Phantasy Star Online, not having to pay a single penny, and most importantly, enjoying it? Well, VGerX2001 has found one of the-- scratch that-- The best online game EVER. Your answer is infantry. Prepare to be blown away.

Before i get to my review, lemme tell you how to play Infantry Online. First you visit infantry.station.sony.com, register to the station, download the launchpad, start it up, choose one of the three games that can only be launched by the Launchpad(Infantry, Tanarus, or Cosmic Rift), then choose a arena to enter, then wait for it to download and update, and you're good to go. And best of all, it's free.

Infantry is a online overhead game where you move kinda like those survival-horror games(left and right to circle your character, up to move toward that direction and down to walk backwards). There is a extensive amount of arenas to choose from, which depend from the classic ''Capture the Flag'' game, to the even more classic kill each other game, to some fun new categories, like the BoomBall arena. But no matter what arena you enter, the controls are the same, but you will get used to them by time.

Now, about the arenas in Infantry, there are so many. There are many categories, one that should be of your interest. Here is a look at some of them:

BoomBall- This wins my pick for best category. This is alot like soccer, only underwater. You are in one of the two teams(Tachyons or Ice Demons), and there is three ways to play this game. You can defend your own goal base, you can be in the middle and send them to your team so they can goal, or you can be the goaler. No matter which of the three, you have to resist a barrage of fire from your opponement team. First one to score five wins, or the one with most goals after the time runs out. I just wish it could have allowed a few more players(If it has 8 players on each team , it's full)and that more people would play this game.

No Man Land- Another of my faves. In here you have to join one of two teams again(Titan or Collective Marines)and blow each others guts out in a Team Death match battle. First team to do onto them more after the timer wins. You can use rifles, shotguns, grenades and other cool arsenal. Unfortunately, there are no turrets, not after the bad rep they have been getting. They complained that a turret can kill anybody so easily, so they have been removed. But there are other cool features, like the ability for a player with a sarge rank(There is a set of ranks to choose from)to summon you onto the heat of the battle, or a player with a medic rank to heal you. This is another of the good arenas.

Those two arenas I reviewed were just some of my favorites. So let me warn you, there is a lot of arenas on Infantry Online, but I can't guarantee that you will like them all. I yet have to check all of the arenas, but I know when there is good(Superman), there is bad(Luthor). Same applies for video games.

So, now I suggest you to download the launchpad and play the best online game ever. You will make some friends and foes, considering this is a online game with real people playing, but it's just part of the fun and intensity of Infantry Online.
