Gameplay-The most entertaining game ever made is ironically free. I truly think DoD is a masterpiece. My hat is off to www.dayofdefeatmod.com for making this game. They pour their sweat and blood into making a game that everyone will enjoy, and they succeed. Day of Defeats gameplay is fantastic.

Sound- Ahh.... the most beautiful part of this game. World War two was something to lend an ear to, and Day of Defeat makes me think this even more. From the ambience to the screams of the soldiers, to the whizzing of the bullets past your little ears, the sound in DoD is beautiful. You will feel like you are in the boots of an actual soldier when playing DoD. I hear certain sounds in my sleep, like the ''pling'' of the garands clip when you polish off a clip. The music snippits in DOD when a team gains victory are very good. You will be as impressed as I am.

Control-If you have played Half Life, you know that it has tight controls, which are basically flawless. The voice menus in DoD are easy to navigate, you can get where you want to go and do what you want to do without any struggles at all. The control in DoD is honestly flawless in my opinion. I have yet to find an imperfection.

Graphics-The Half Life engine is an old one. It has been out for a while, but still manages to compete with recent releases and can hold its own very well. DoD has no graphical problems at all. It is a visually pleasing game, from the sand sprays going to the shingle on the beach maps, to the tracers of the bullets coming toward you. They squeeze everything they can out of the engine, and do a fine job at it. The player models, weapons, and maps are all mind blowing. Just looking at the MG42 launching bullet after bullet towards the enemy is more than enough to prove to people that DoD is a graphical winner.

Clan Play-Like Counter-Strike, Day of Defeats potential can only be fully reached by being in a clan. The teamwork skyrockets and everyone works together to accomplish their goals. Clan play is great in DOD, and luckily the official DOD team recognizes this, and supports them. They change things to make clanplay more enjoyable. If you want to squeeze all you can from DoD, join a clan. If you join a good one that takes it to the limit, you will never stop playing DoD. Trust me :)
