Dark Age of Camelot

"A decent MMORPG"

I have read all of the reviews in about DAoC (Dark Age of Camelot) on this site. I am not saying that some of them are outrageously bias, I just don't think they give enough time in playing the game.
First of all, I have played this game for a month. It is a decent game in all aspects. The game control is good, the graphic is excellent, and Mythic's ideas of Realm vs Realm is great.
In some of the reviews that I read complained about the combat key. Mythic designed F6 as a default key not to enter combat but to draw the character's weapon and attack or defend against the enemies. It can be changed by the player.
This game can be slow to solo, but that is why there is a grouping option in the game. With grouping, exp will gaining will be much faster and easier. The exp distribution in a group is based on the character's and the monster's level, it does NOT base on the amount of the damage inflicted on the monsters by the character like in one of the reviews stated. There is a exp reduction after the fifth level. However, the character will NOT delevel.
Weapons and armors are a bit expensive in DAoC, however, the cash gaining from killing monsters gets better as the level of the monster increases.
There are many classed to chose from in DAoC. There are magic caster class, fighter class and hibrids of the two. Of course like every other MMORPG, DAoC offers varieties of quests and tasks. Some of them are a bit confusing but there are always some experienced players online to ask. The in game customer support is the only aspect of the game that I did not like. It takes at least 1 hour to have an appeal replies.
The game is almost lag-free. The only time it does is when there are hundreds of players attacking each other in Realm vs Realm. DAoC has many servers and 3 different realms to chose from. Players from the same realm cannot kill their realm-mates. Players vs Players is stricly for Realm vs Realm areas. Players can only kill those from the opposite realm. This prevents high level players from picking on the lower one.
Over all, the game play is good. There is no replay value since this is a MMORPG (no plot game). I give it an 8
