"No Deserving Award; But a Definite Must for Your Collection"

When the designers at Presto Studios set out to make a game, they sure didn’t have low expectations. Exceptional gameplay, fantastic graphics and above all in what I like, humor. Arthur, a virus-type electronic man, who exists only as voice is a very funny character; if it wasn’t for him the game, would have been trash.

Storyline: You are a single person, named Gage Blackwood, chosen amongst a proud few to defend time from ultimate destruction by the “axis of evil”, a different race. Even some humans are defecting, or so it seems to the other alien race. One extremely dangerous woman, Agent 3, Michelle Visard, who seems to be giving out information to the aliens. Arthur jumped in her suit as a virus, and both disappeared forever.
Because of that dangerous adventure, your memory of that happening was completely erased. All you have to remind yourself of the event, is a scratchy movie indicating Arthur interfering with Michelle Visard. Suddenly and emergency happens, time is being fooled around with! Michelle is alive! But now the JumpSuits are disabled to prevent further destruction of time. How are you going to stop her?

Gameplay ---10/10--- Very nice. It’s one of the easiest controls in the world. Point and click, point and click. The three scenarios are simple, El Dorado, Shangri La, and Atlantis. When in need of a challenge, go to options, Arthur has a silent, normal, and talkative mode. Silence isn’t a virtue on your first time through, normals okay, and talkative, in my opinion is great. Arthur says funny lines ranging from, “And the man looked in wonder at the golden cow. And the cow stared back in approval, as if to say… moo.” It sounds like crap now, but wait ‘till you hear Arthur say it. It cracked me up.
The game starts out easy, real easy. Then it gets to a normal state, and very smoothly at that. Then it gets tough, really hard, I suggest putting Arthur on talkative the whole entire game, it won’t be easy, and the last scenario is tough, very tough. The ending is nice, and other features are far and few between.

Graphics ---10/10--- Can’t go wrong here. It’s some of the best I’ve seen since Final Fantasy X. It’s even better on DVD. It’s smooth graphics, and highly detailed, such as the fibers on a rope to the cracks on an urn. It’s spectacular. I can’t praise it highly enough, except for one annoying detail: the characters don’t fit in. It’s like a bad science fiction movie, where the aliens are 2D and they are obviously cut and pasted onto the film. Other than that, you’ll soon find that it has the best graphics until the outdoing of the three systems, Gamecube, X-Box, and PS2.

Sound ---6/10--- It’s messed up here, it’s not very good music. Sometimes it fits the scene, but the majority of the time, like in Atlantis where there’s practically no music. It’s a blooper done by Presto Studio in my opinion.

Buy/Rent: Buy if you can get it on DVD, it’s not worth the effort of the four CD case. Burn it if you must, it’s, overall, a good deal. While there’s no real replay value, you might just want to borrow it.
