Pocket Tanks

"This game is plain boring."

Pocket Tanks is a game that can be found for free at downloads.com,however because it's free it's probaly defectively fun. (Which I figured out easily.)It's very repetitive in every way. The only fun I had, was trying to beat my friend Landon from getting the Sniper at the weapons menu screen. Well let me break it down for you real quick.

Gameplay: The gameplay is supposedly supposed to be a strategic game. I got a sentence for you. Strategic games aren't repettitive. You do the exact same thing in every level or ''battle''. Not only is it repettitive, but it's really not that fun. Pocket Tanks dosen't deliver a solid gameplay at all. Another reason why this game is lower than medicore is that the controls are too advanced for a tiny game like this. Real good attacks are too hard to pull off.
Don't even think about trying to move. Adjusting the cannon on your tank is difficult to think in which direction or power to do it in.

You adjust the distance you weapon goes, and how high you want it to go. After you fire your weapon, it heads straight into the nearest mountian, and the expolosions decreases a ton of your points leaving your enemy at the advantage (probaly for the whole battle). This doesn't happen all the time but it sure as well happens a lot.Oh yeah, and you can forget about having a fair game on the computer mode. This gameplay is really boring.

Graphics: The tank sprites are small, and you landscape is huge. The tanks are a bit too cartoony for me, but the landscapes are awesome! The mountains and trees are good in poportain. Some gun or weapon fire are transparent and they look great. But others look sloppy and to light.

Audio: The music in Pocket Tanks is the only reason I might play it in a blue moon. It's a good mix of light techno, and light jazz with rock n' roll. Since I like the music in this game is the only reason I still have it.

Too bad I couldn't base my whole reveiw on the audio. But if you're looking for a time passer, here it is. Maybe I don't like this game this game because Landon kills me in it, naw. This game is just boring. Don't waste you money on it. Some places sell it for 15$! Way too overpriced!
