"Not a lot are added in this expansion."

After years and the millions of copies sold The Sims still won't go away! The newest, and fourth expansion for the creative game The SIms is here.

Gameplay - 8/10
----------------
The Sims is a game that needs no introduction....because if you don't know what it is you are either dumb or just very uninformed. This game is loved so much that there has now been four expansions for the game, and every expansion for the game seems to add something more to keep the game interesting.
In The Sims: Vacation, you get to take your sims on vacation to many resorts. At first I thought it sounded really cool but it's actually quite dull. The vacation lots are the exact same thing as the downtown lots introduced in Hot Date. Basically you call a cab, pay 500 bucks and pick a lot or ''vacation resort'' to go to. There are three different types of vacation lots; a snowy place, a beach and a camping ground. They work exactly like downtown in Hot Date. You stay there until you're ready to go by calling the cab to take you home, except in vacation you get to spend nights. I thought there'd be something different but not really. You're basically paying for more downtown lots.
They added some new items for the game, but they're not as cool as some of the other ones from older expansions such as Livin' Large. In the end, Vacation works pretty much like Hot Date, and you're basically paying for more ''downtown'' lots (except they're built to be vacation spots).

Graphics - 7/10
---------------
Nothing about the graphics has changed. All the graphic problems from the original game remains. And now that the graphics are pretty outdated the graphics can't compete with today's other games. However it still looks pretty good. New graphics include some great new animations for some funny characters at the vacation resorts, and new objects. The new objects are all designed with The Sims style, and they all fit into the game.

Sound - 7/10
----------------
Pretty much the same deal here as the graphics. They added some new songs for the vacation lots, but they're not as catchy as the originals. In the end, most of the songs in the game you've all heard before.

Final - 7/10
----------------
Hardcore Sims fans would want to pick this up. If you only have the original Sims game you might want to pick this up to update your game a bit. Otherwise, you won't be missing much.
