3D Pinball: Space Cadet

Review by Dark Para

"In comes the ball, out goes my mind."

Enter thy ship!
I think a lot of us know this game and have played around with it for a bit. It's free, simple, and fun. It's not perfect but it's still good. At least in my opinion... then again I'm a bit of a major fan of pinball games. Sure, it may not be flashy, but I prefer dark. As long as you see that ball it's all good.

Refuel!? AGAIN!?
Gameplay:8/10
I love pin ball. I don't care if it has any extra levels or not. I love it either way. It's a bit frustrating but still fun. Sure you could get pissed at how hard it is to refuel and such but it's still interesting. A good challenge. Not your large scale game play but not that small. A good balance.

That's a bumper, that's a flipper, that's the pinball, and that.... that's not right.
Graphics:9/10
No these are not Mr. realistic graphics. These are graphics for a game that came free. Frankly these aren't bad either. The ball and such are nicely done. They remind me of real pin ball machines. Unlike some of the other ones I've played where they used blocks of lights and god knows what else. These graphics are all nice and great, but graphics never make the game.

Explain me this. How does a friggen ball fly!?
Challenge:7/10
The game is challenging when you first play. After a while getting in the millions becomes easy. Still, it's quite frustrating to try and get into a worm hole or up the ramp a few times. This game was made to kill time and that's exactly what it does. It's not too challenging to push you away but it's not so easy that you'll get above twenty million that fast. Enjoyable without the endless frustration.

Again, again, again!
Replay value:7/10
This is obviously the focus of the game. It's a time killer, and thus is meant to be played like one. It's always promising to try and beat your own top score again and again. It might get old after a while, but chances are the times between you playing it and not are going to be largely spaced out. It'll be hard to get old as long as you have a few days or so in between it. Always the good time killer it will be.

To launch off or not to launch off? That is the question
Should I play?
This would be buy... but it's free so you really can't. The question is should you play it or not? Well that depends. If you enjoy pinball then sure. Play it every so often, such as when bored. If you don't you might still enjoy it. That's up to you. It's not a perfect game but it wasn't meant to be a gigantic RPG or something. Just a simple little time killer.
