Empire Earth

"Epic is definitely too small a word!"

Empire Earth is one very unique game, you can progress through history and HAVE FUN doing it! This is one of the best strategy games that I've played in a long time!

Gameplay: 9/10
Empire Earth is one of the funnest Real Time Strategy games that I've played in a long time! Although, this is your basic RTS, collect resources, build buildings, build units, kill enemy. But, there are enough unique features, that it keeps you coming back for more.

Empire Earth is just average in the difficulty department, but there were times when I felt like throwing my computer through the window. Though that sounds bad, it's not really as it provides just enough difficulty to make you think.

The controls are very intuitive, and are very easy to learn. Every action has a short-cut on the keyboard, making it very easy to select a building and build units, without going into a frenzy searching for the building you need.

Story: 6/10
There are 4 campaigns but, there's not much of a story. You start as a caveman and progress through history. It's interesting and you can actually learn something! The gameplay, graphics, and sound make up for the lack of story.

Audio/Video: 10/10
The sound is simply amazing! It's great to hear the clash of steel and then the cry of a fallen warrior! You can hear EVERYTHING! It's just awesome, everything makes a noise! Cavemen grunt, elephants make elephant noises, just simply amazing!

The graphics are amazing as well. You can zoom in and out and everything still look spectacular! Simply beautiful! The oceans have fish, animals look real, people look real. I was awestruck the first time I played the game!

Replayability: 4/10
I don't feel that the campaign has much replayability, but you can create your own scenarios and go online. The scenario builder is one of the best I've seen for a RTS, lot's of options and you're able to tweak just about everything!

Overall: 9/10
This is a great game, but it can be slow at times. If you like your games fast-paced, then you should definitely steer clear of this game. But, if you can sit for an hour or more, you'll enjoy this game! Again, this is one of the best RTS ever!

To buy or to rent? - This is a definite buy, if you're looking for a good RTS. I highly recommend this game.
