Capitalism II
Review by yoshi2k
"A simply remarkable game"
Capitalism is what this is game is about. You build a corporation out of some cash and make it into a multi-billion dollar business. You can build everything from mines and farms to give raw materials to your factories, over 15 different types of department stores to sell those or other competitors' goods for your own profit, or you can build apartments and offices. You can even buy the media buildings, or why not while your at it, your competitors through the stock market! This is no easy task to become a multi-billion dollar company. Not only does it require patience and some time, it also requires good micromanagement skills.
Once you startup the game you basically have three choices, tutorial campaign, normal campaign, and custom games. Play the campaign if you want a challenge, some of them are extrememly difficult and require you to change your strategies to accomplish their goals. I personally enjoy the custom game because you can set all the options you want. AND I MEAN ALL THE OPTIONS YOU WANT!!! Altogether with multiplayer it offers a great gaming experience for any type of gamer that will give this title a shot!
How it rates:
Gameplay: 10/10 The game is perfectly designed. Just because your product has the best quality or price, if the public don't know it exists it isn't going to sell. Ubi Soft and Enlight Software did a great job covering all the bases. All the factors that could effect a product's sales, your stock price, your opponent's factory production, etc. are all shown in the game through various graphs and news clippings.
Game Control: 10/10 You control everything in this game, everything you should control that is. The power you are given in your corporation is exactly what it would be in real life. The only thing that may be a problem is that the game takes over YOU for the next 3-4 hours and you begin to thinking people who live with you are your chairmen and chairwomen.
Sound: 9/10 The sound/music isn't spectacular but this game is not about that. The sound tells you when you click on something and when you have an important news item to read. The perfect amount of sound. The music supports your brain while you try to think. Little higher tempo music to get you in mergering mood.
Graphics: 9/10 Again, just like the sound the game carries just the right amount of graphics it needs. Sweet pictures inside and out of your buildings and of the cities. Similar to SimCity 3000. You can see cars on the streets, that's how detailed it is. Since this game isn't about graphics, I can't give it a 10 but your not going to see 2-D pictures in this one.
Statisfaction: 10/10 If you give this game a chance you will never want to put it down. It requires some learning to it but once you learn it, either from trial or the tutorial, you will know exactly what you are doing. You can set your goals to your liking and skill level. If you have a problem with something in this game 99.99999% of the time you can turn it off and forget it existed in a custom game.
This game is a definant BUY BUY BUY, not SELL SELL SELL!!!
This game can be replayed forever as even if you beat it once, you can always set it harder in a custom game.
