Review by Cucumber Man
"Get this game!"
YES! GET THIS GAME!! Firstly, this is a multiplayer online RPG game by Nexon. There are currently 3 DarkAges server around the world: USA, Singapore and Korea. Ok now for the review...
Music: 9
The music displays the atmosphere around you. If you're in a castle, you will have medieval music. In a dungeon, soft, deep, ''dungeon-ic'' music. To summarize it, the music blends with the background to give you a realistic feeling of the place.
Gameplay: 10
OMFG!! Talk about gameplay! In DA, you get to choose 5 classes at the beginning: Warrior, Priest, Rogue, Wizard and Monk. Each class has unique characteristics. Warrior may have high strength but low magic and a priest vice versa. Each class enables you to wear different armours and not all armours are obtainable from shops! Some are drops from enemies while some are made from quests. Speaking about quests, the world of DA has a lot of quests to be completed. The more quests you complete, you'll get varying amounts of exp, gold or items. Completing a quest is also marked by a legend which shows that you completed it. You can also pray to different gods. Praying to different gods net you big benefits. If you pray to Ceannlaiddir, the war god, he'll bless your weapons for a time and if you pray to Glioca, the peace and love god, she'll heal your party. When you enter combat, you just go towards the enemy and hit it. You can hit enemies in 4 directions: North, south, east , west (simple eh?). However, note that without a group it's almost impossible to train alone at higher levels, but it does make your social skills go up right? If you make firm friends with someone, he/she might always want to train with you, so start making friends!
Control: 10
The controls are fairly easy. Move using the keyboard arrows and click on stuff you want to take or access.
World of DarkAges: 10
In the DA world, there are many towns and castles or cities. Various mundanes(NPC) live here and sell you equipments or items. You travel to different towns starting quests and completing them. You get to meet many different people in DA. While some are cruel, most are friendly and offer to train with you. Find rare items and sell them will get you big cash.
Overall: This is a good game. Dont be intimidated by the hardness because all good games are hard ones.
