"Very good, but very short"

I remember playing this game when it first came out. I loved this game, and I highly regarded it as one of the top games (some of those titles are: Wasteland, The Secret of Monkey Island, and Daggerfall). Sadly, after beating it around 300 times in one month, i got tired of it. It was just too short. I can summarize all of the events in like three simple sentences. But a couple weeks ago I got my most recent edition of PC Gamer, which one of the articles was about FULL THROTTLE 2. I automatically installed it onto my older computer (Windows 98). I beat it in 10 hours, and I then remembered how much joy that simple, little game can suply.

GRAPHICS: 8/10
These graphics definently aren't much now, but back in '95, they were pretty good. They are still pretty good, I can tell pretty much what everything is, and if I should pick it up. The little cut scenes are truly remarkable for back then. They aren't the best, but aren't the worst by far. They are satisfying for the genre of back then.

STORY: 9/10
WHOA!!! That was my first reaction after I beat it. You are Ben, a big biker, who must stop a sinister plan to destroy the manufacturing of motorcycles. Well, actually there is more to it...But I don't wanna spoil it. You just have to play it. Believe me, you will be satisfied story-wise.

SOUND: 10/10
Yup....perfect 10....The voice actors fit each character fantastically (BEN ROCKS!!). This game's voice actors surpass any I have ever heard in any other game. Belive me, it's that good.

MUSIC: 10/10
Oh yeah. The soundtrack is good. The music fits the story. Oh, and by the way, the band is the Gone Jackals (they only made like 3 CDs, sadly). I have all there CDs, which I got after playing this game. This band is just plain out one of the best. Really fits the biker mood.

Control: 10/10
Yeah...there's nothing ike just the plain and simple click of the mouse on the part of screen you want to walk to. Oh, and when you get to fight on the bikes, all you need to use are the arrow keys and the mouse. It's extremely simple. The mouse concept is used in alot of games, so it will suply you with no trouble.

GAMEPLAY: 9/10
Adventure....This was during Lucas Arts' golden years of adventure (Monkey Island, Freddy Pharcas Frontier Pharmacist). It just your typical adventure game where you pick up an item for later use in a puzzle. Puzzles that seem extremely hard, but are so easy. Seriously, it's like you never would have guessed some of it, but it turns out that it's just common sense. Although, there are some hard puzzles (kick the wall in the right place when the green light's stop moving).

REPLAY: 6/10
Well, with all the good parts layed out, here's sometihng bad....You can finish this game in six to eight hours, depending on how good at these games you are. It just passes by so fast.

PROS:
Fun and Funny
Smart
Excellent sound and music
Detailed graphics (for it's time)
Great plot and story
Easy controls

CONS:
Very short

BUY OR RENT: I'd say rent, since it won't take that long to complete. But then again, if you're like me, and really love this game and it's music, then it's a buy. It's also a bargain since it's buyable from $2-$10.
