"A game that every man alive should own."

A world war 2 based action/first person shooter game that should keep you busy for hours, possibly days.

I'm not a fan of PC games, but this one....this one was just different. This game is just amazing and I recommend it to everyone who has a PC that can handle it. I was never a fan of any war games, but this game is awesome.

Gameplay
Sweet! Quite possibly the best game I've played in my life.
Quite a few missions, but thats not the good part, LAN with a couple of friends, and this game will become your best friend.
This game has about the best gameplay ever. The maps are great, the vehicles are great, I've yet to find a flaw in this game.
Overall the gameplay is pretty awesome, I've yet to play a PC game with this much greatness in it.
If your looking for a good first person shooter that doesnt consist of unrealistic stuff like LASER BEAMS and Miniguns, this game is the way to go.
Battlefield 1942! Great gameplay, good maps, awesome on singleplayer, and even better on multiplayer.
A large variety of maps, guns, side, and vehicles.
Maps - From an all out Naval Battle for land, to keeping the island under your control.
Guns - Guns arranging from ANTI-TANK rocket launchers all the way to pistols, and everything is the style it was in 1942.
Vehicles - Planes, boats, jeeps, tanks, everything that was available in 1942.

Controls
Well, it's on computer so you can change every button to your liking. So the controls are perfect.

Graphics
Whoa, the best I've seen to date on PC. The textures look great, theres no real flaws in any of the graphics.
Everything looks awesome from the sun, the vehicles, the people, the textures, the scenary, everything. This might be the best looking game out right now, until DOOM III, this game should be on top graphic wise.

Sound
Everything sounds good, from the shots, to the airplanes, to the bombs falling on your base, no flaws in the graphics or the sound. The effects from the FLAQ cannons, the bombs falling near you, the shots, the vehicles, everything sounds awesome in this game.

Fun Factor
Single Player - Extremely fun, the missions are fun too, im glad that I found a pc game I actually like. Tons of maps that you can play, and if you find it easy, put it on a harder level of difficulty and be in for a blast.

Multiplayer - Here is the where the game shines! In a little LAN party with my friends, we played about four hours worth of battlefield 1942 before we decided to take a break. I finally got the chance to play online, its not bad, I found that its kinda laggy at some points, not too much lag though. A lot of people scramble for the planes too, which isn't cool because they jackass around while you actually try to win. LAN with your buds in this game and be prepared for atleast three or four hours of fun.

Play Time
Well, although you can beat the game in less than 24 hours if you try hard enough and put enough time into it, the game is still good for multiplayer and/or re-playing the missions on harder difficulty.

Replay Value
EXTREMELY high! Even though I dont like single player games too much, this game is fun on single player when you beat it.
But multiplayer will make this game last for an extremely long time and keep you coming back for more.

Final Thoughts
This game is an extremely addicting game that I am purchasing(I think Mike is tired of me coming over and playing battlefield). Anyways, this is a great game.

Overall
Gameplay - 10
Sound - 10
Graphics - 10
Controls - 10
Fun Factor - 10
Play Time - 10
Replay Value - 10
Overall - 10

Buy or Rent?
Buy Or Rent?
Even though you cant rent PC games, I guess it's BUY or Borrow?
Buy! This game is great on single and multiplayer.
It's worth every penny.
