"Warcraft 2, honestly my favorite computer game."

It's hard for me to admit this..... but I actually play this old game... and I still play it for hours a day . Even though the one player campaigns make you feel that the game is lacking, the online complexity makes up for all of it. I have been playing war2 online using battle.net for over 2 1/2 years.

Graphics 4
The graphics in this game are pretty bad. The game is looked at as an overview. The character models and such were great for their time but are just awful now. They are not so bad that you can't tell what is going on, but they are not good.

Sound 5
The music of the game is decent but repetitive. I turned it off a long while ago, its easier to concentrate when it's off. Once a building is clicked on, it makes a certain noise which adds to the game. When a unit is clicked on, he/she says something. It's is amusing to just keep on clicking the same unit to hear what they say. The more times you click on them, the better their dialog gets. You normally don't want to do that during a game that you want to win.

Gameplay 10
The gameplay is just amazing in this game. The game comes with the ability to hook up to battle.net (gaming server) and play with people around the world. This is where I spend my time on War2. Maps can differ from starting out with one peon, to having tons of gold and buildings. You can also create your own maps to play on. This really adds to the game too. The main objective of this game is to kill your opponent. There are many ways you can go about to do that, and it all depends on the map. The strategies vary from map to map so you can't just have one good build order for one map and expect to be the best. You must harvest lumber and gold to make more units and buildings. In some sea maps, commonly found in the campaigns, you also need to harvest oil with oil tankers. Every unit can be good if it is used correctly and in the right situation.

Even though the sound a graphics are bad in this game, the gameplay makes up for it. This game is a must buy for all PC enthusiasts. Find me online on battle.net on the US East server under the name ReallyRusted. Have fun playing this game!
