Worms 2

"Prepare for the most extreme Worms war ever in history"

I can remember the old Worms games for the PSX, which were really quite fun but the graphics were all blurry and you can hardly see. It was a really fun game though, as are all Worms games featured on the PC, want to know if Worms 2 is the same as the others? Here's my review.

The gameplay, what can i say? Extremely fun and it will keep you playing forever! The controls are also really simple, and you can have a really cool battle. It's also good in the multiplayer park aswell. Worms 2 is one of the most enjoyable PC games i've ever played and i still play it now! Most of the weapons from the previous games are in, but new weapons are also added in Worms 2 such as a flying sheep! TNT and all the other cool weapons are also in. You can also go into the Options and edit it all, so you can get Unlimited Weapons really easily, which is quite cool, although it takes out the challenge a little bit. But it depends on the difficulty you have put for the computer teams.

You can build your own terrains (scenes) on the game, which is truly amazing! I love to build like a certain base up at the top of the screen for me, and i can just fire stuff onto the bad-Worms.

Yes, the super banana is still in (yay!). It's a fantastic weapon, and causes so much havoc! As i stated earlier, all of the regular weapons are still in, as are some great new ones!

The graphics are fantastic! It is cartoony, but the Worms look tremendously realistic. TNT and all the other weapons look real too. The scenery and water look fantastic too, what more can i say? The graphical sights in this game are great. There is also different types of junk featured on certain scenes. For example, if you choose a 'Sport' theme for your Terrain, baseball caps and footballs will all appear in the terrain. You can also use these for ''extra-cover'' ;).

Onto the audio, also great! You can choose different accents for your Worms, such as a Scottish, French or American accent. It's really cool. Crates drop and sound like teleports and such, it's sweet. There is also background music, it's quite low but it also makes your tongue drop and concentrate on your attacks more. Real cool.

You can create your own teams and add your own created-computer teams, also allowing you to choose their difficulty level. For example, easy; medium; hard. It goes on in a league table, with points added on for who ever wins the war. It goes on and on. Can you become the most extreme Worm fighters in history? You can find out with Worms 2!

There is not really much else to say, apart from it's great! The replayability in the game, well, what can i say? It will last you all your life, it never gets boring. The challenges are to beat computer controlled teams on the hardest level, by putting their difficulty level to maximum. You can also battle against friends or family, which is also excellent! What i like to do is put my friends or favourite family members in one team, and then my least favourite friends and all that in another team, and then you can figure out what i try and do to my least favourite Worm friends :). Totally excellent.

One of the most enjoyable games on the PC i have ever played, and definitely one for your collection. You can now buy a Worms trilogy pack, with Worms 2 featured in it, so get that! You will not be disappointed, trust me.
