"The original of the classic series.."
I just love to hunt!!! Don't you? well there are a lot of people around the world that just love to hunt, in some people's case, they love to hunt in and out of their home. Deer Hunter: 3 gives the perfect opportunity for in-home hunting...
Gameplay: 9
The gameplay and fun-factor may not be perfect, but it is a very loved game by many deer-hunting fans, including myself for example. This game has a very high fun-factor overall... I give Gameplay 9/10, or ''Simply Superb'' rating.
Controls: 10
Total Simplicity is how I would describe the control setup of this game, I even taught my little cousin how to play this game and he's only four years old. The mouse is used for the majority of gameplay which makes it simple to use, and maneuver... I give Controls 10/10, or ''Amazingly Perfect'' rating.
Story: 10
Oh, be quiet already, I can give it nothing but a '10' I mean, no story is 'stated' but it is self-explanatory. Deer hunting, anyone?... I give Story 10/10, or ''Amazingly Perfect'' rating.
Graphics: 5
Like i've stated before in many of my other reviews, each game, no matter how perfect it seems, has some downsides that can become an annoyance. With Graphics in mind, Deer Hunter is nothing pretty. It's not completely terrible but I would'nt even compare it to some Super NES games... I give Graphics 5/10, or ''Merely Mediocre'' rating.
Play Time: 10
I just had to do it for the simple reason, This game goes on forever, with getting the biggest buck on record as the goal. I've known people that have counted how many hours they've played Deer Hunter overall, and sometimes it can equal into the thousands... I give Play Time 10/10, or ''Amazingly Perfect'' rating.
Music/Sound: 8
The graphics may be sorry, but the sound really makes up for it. The sounds are extremely realistic and gives the gamer a feeling that they are in the middle of the woods with their weapon, ready to fire... I give Music/Sound 8/10, or ''Particularly Great'' rating.
Challenge: 9
Though some people do not think so, this game is actually quite challenging, since you've got to pay great attention to be able to find the direction on the screen the animal in coming from to head in that direction. Waiting can become really frustrating at times, but it's well worth the wait if it's a monster buck... I give Challenge 9/10, or ''Simply Superb'' rating.
Replay Value: 10
Just like in 'play time' i'll state again that this game is endless. You will be able to play the game over, and over again, since the Buck will be in different areas in each game you play, no two games are ever alike in any way... I give Replay Value 10/10, or ''Amazingly Perfect'' rating.
Buy...? Rent...?:
I'm not exactly sure if one can rent computer games from any rental store, but this one is definately one to buy and add to a gamer's collection...
Overall Rating: 9
I give Deer Hunter 9/10, or ''Simply Superb'' rating.
Conclusion:
Deer Hunter is definately a classic for any video game collection, I've owned the game for about 4 years and I've loved it even more ever since I received it as a gift... Play on, gamers!!!
