Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator

"Good for an American RPG.."

Well, They're not very many American made RPGs, some not good, some are good, but Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator is one of them. While some of the people who played it, bash it, id rather praise it. Nice American made game. Few flaws in it, noting big :).

Story: 9/10
Alright, this is an unusual world, full of junkers and other people. Your main character is a girl who lost her parents in a war/fight. (L.O.D. anyone?) Anyway, you find that your cousin is smuggling weapons to other shell, and you find a plot and it unfolds so. Original, but a few flaws in the story, I gave it a 9.

Gameplay: 8/10
Alright, the gameplay, not to complex, but has some points where you want to ask yourself ''What do I do??''. The controls, VERY simple to learn, especially for Beginner RPGer's, like my brothers, not to much to worry about, besides the Battle system, this is where the gameplay rating went down. Instead of filling up your ATB bar, then it coming your turn automatically, you have to click they persons Icon, now this can get you killed if you don't pay attention, because monsters will attack, and kill you. This is sort of a problem. Especially Beginner RPGers. And instead of MP, you have Core energy, which is basically the same thing. I deem it a 8.

Audio/Video: 8/10
Good Graphics, but the characters have a black outline, which makes it look like they were cut out and put on it. not a big factor, but may drive some people away. Now the Music and Voices, The Music is excellent, some not noticeable but their are some cut-offs in the middle of sentences, im not sure if it is just in the V. 1.02 patch, but this becomes a problem. While your listening to vital information, it will cut-off, then leave you hanging. I gave this a 8.

Replayability: 7/10
Not much to do after you beat the game, go back through, and get all the items, do a speed game. as I said, not much to do after you do another game. I give it a 7.

Buy or Rent: Well, since you can't rent computer games, buy it, get Shogo:Mobile Armor Divison with it, or if you can, borrow it from a friend. With Shogo:MAD, It costs $9.99, so get it, play it on those hot days, or rainy ones. :-)

So I give the game a 8. Cheers! :-D
