SimCity 4
Review by RyuSeiryuu
"Build your City and Control their Fate"
SimCity 4 is the most current game in the SimCity series. I must say that Maxis has done a great job once again. You get to build buildings, make a population thrive, and also have God Like powers like in the old games. I have found this game to be the most addicting SimCity as of yet. Now I guess it is time for me to give my personal review for this game.
Game Controls: You shouldn't have much difficulty learning the controls and what buttons to press. There is a in game tutorial that will guide you so even a person new to the game can play it within a day. You will learn everything from making zones to hopefully created a city with a large population. You can also get the option to be in God mode in which you can Meteor a certain section of the city or make a Robot walk through it. A volcano can emerge and destroy people. These God Mode options is a great way to end your city if it is failing and you are very mad at it. It will relieve your stress.
Graphics: The graphics are just stunning. The effort of putting details in each of the buildings can be seen as you zoom in. The only shame about the graphics is that you really don't see the Sims that you have created to live in your city. Otherwise awesome graphics.
Sound: The Sound is very good but can get annoying after a while. Thats why you can import your songs to play in the game. I like this option.
Replayability: The objective is to create a thriving society. There are multiple regions to develop which will take a while. I haven't completed it yet though but it is an enjoyable experience. I am going to rate the replayability as low since it might be difficult for players to build a society again from scratch after completing the whole thing.
My opinion: I would suggest playing this game if you are a fan of Maxis and SimCity. For those of you who are new to the game and feel a bit skeptical about it, just try the game out for a couple of hours and then decide whether or not you like it. I have bought the game and I haven't regretted it. Maybe this might be the same result when you play it.
See ya,
