Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

This is an absalutely amazing game! and the only reason i can be at all angry is that they havent made a sequal yet ;P.

Overall 9: very well done game gameplay is amazing as is the storyline =) arguably better then any game in the fallout or balders gate series (IMO, discluding throne of bhaal cuz i havent played it yet). I mean cummon its an industrial revelution in a world of magick ;P (yes magick with a ''k'')

The storyline 10: for arcanum (no spoilers) is very very good and its one of the reasons i was so hooked for so long. There are so many twists and turns throughout the game besides wondering if your the chosen one you have no idea what will happen two you ;P and you actually have to pick up clues and such in order to know what to do next! but the creators of the game did this very well, however at times this games not-so-subtle hints may be hard to find. The first time you play you may want to have a stratagy guide with you if you do decide to buy the game and arent good at deciding what to do next ;P.

Graphics 8: well this isnt the games strongest point but i must say the graphics arent at all bad. They are well done 2D graphics which dont detract from the gaming experience at all atleast in my mind.

Sound 7: the lowest point in the game for me atleast. I listen to mostly metal or punk rock etc etc, but even i thought that the music, which is orchestral goes with the 19th century gaming experience very well, the only thing that i could take points off for is that the variety is horrible ;P i found myself knowing the song by eart after the 2nd day playing the game (thorougly enjoying stealin, hackin, and magicking my way through the immesne world)

Gameplay 10: this is ware the game stands out very nicely it is very very well done! So much to do so many ways to play! this is one game ware you can do some much tings you want. Do you want a nnja type character who walks around virtually unseen, do you want an assasin make one and fit him with a looking glass rifle. The game can be played in so many different ways itsvery amazing and iv found nearly 3ways to do every single quest in the game, sometimes more then that! a heard alot of people complaining about AI attacking enemies and getting sloughtered because their followers were stupid... well personally i never had a real problem with followers attacking because my spells killed off the worst of the enemies before any real harm came to my followers and then it was just a test of patience (how long does it take you virgil to heal us gdamnit ;P), however if you look in the options menu (press o ;)) you will see a follower attack on/off switch.... But regardless the game is very amazing and the first time you play it if you decide to buy a great RPG then i would reccomend having a stratagy guide next to you incAase you dont know what to do first, which was a huge problem for a friend of mine.
