"Lets do the thing"

When i first heard of a game being developed for the movie ''The thing'' i didnt cared much for it because i thought that the movie wasnt all that good, but then i saw the trailer for the game and i was mesmerised just by one look, I dont own a console so i rushed out and bought the copy for my PC. Here is how i rate the game.

Gaphics 8/10

Although this is not th flashiest of all games but still the graphics are pretty good , and considering that this is a PS2 port then i admit that they are quite good. Everything is clearly and there is hardly any errors on my PC. The draw distance for the game is also nice and you can see quite a long way. But sometimes the game gets a little too dark and that is my only problem with the graphics, otherwise the character animations and their movements are captured nicely in the graphics.

Sound 9/10

The sound isnt much to think about in this game because there is hardly any mucis here, but the noises of the things and the weapons are all captured nicely and the 9 marks are because of the superb voice acting, this game has the second best voice acting i have ever heard in a video game, second to metal gear only. The main character has the best voice acting in the lot and you even get to hear the original message by mcready/kurt russel.

Gameplay 8/10

Another good part of this game is that its good in all aspects of the gameplay, its never too hard to master the controls and the auto aim makes it a little easy for the newbies to play the game. But still the first person is also nicely included in the game. I mostly used th FP when ever in a fight. The game also gives a lot of scares in most of the times, and there is always the thought in your head that which one of your members is the thing , this is what makes this game interesting , and the added trust feature really spices it up.

Overall 9/10

This is a nice game overall and there could even be a sequel if the developers feel like it, and i sure hope they do. This game is a gem in my opinion and it wouldve received a lot more if it was a tad bit longer, and if it had a little replay value, oh well, people wont mind that and i hope you all enjoy the thing.
