Theme Hospital

"An excellent hospital-building simulation for all ages!"

Theme Hospital is by far my favorite computer game. This is because, in my mind, it scores 10/10 in every category. I also love simulation games, and this is the most challenging sim game I have ever played, even though I have every Sim game except SimIsle. Here is my review for Theme Hospital:

GRAPHICS: Excellent graphics, "Highly detailed SVGA graphics". Possibly the best graphics I have ever seen for a computer game, even better than the Tomb Raider series. I especially love the Grim Reaper who comes whenever you kill someone and drops them down into the fiery underworld. 10/10

SOUND/MUSIC: Pretty good, but the music can sometimes get repetetively annoying. In high-res mode, you have the selection of a jukebox where you can select one of eight tracks. The sounds are just plain funny, from people throwing up on your floors to people sneezing in the halls. 9/10

CONTROLS: The best I have ever experienced in any kind of game. With the mouse, it all fits together smoothly, like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. In the Playstation version of Theme Hospital, this section would have been horrible, but since there is the use of the mouse at your disposal, it's all good. 10/10

DIFFICULTY: Very hard, however the patch has added difficulty levels. I started playing Theme Hospital three years ago, and I can only get to level three out of twelve without using cheat codes. I like hard games, because then I get to use ll the cheat codes for them :), but some people prefer it to be a tad easier and not use cheat codes, so I say to people either don't buy TH if you don't like hard games, or else buy it and download the patch for it. 10/10

OVERALL: An excellent, excellent game. Now I know that some people aren't exactly chomping at the bit to be able to build their own hospital, but believe me, I was skeptical at the time of purchase of it, just like you, then I bought TH and learned that it wasn't ANYTHING that I thought it was. 10/10

I don't really know if you can rent computer games, but if you can, I say buy it anyway. Once you start TH, you aren't going to throw it in a closet and forget about it like most people would. No, you're going to play it and finish it or else you'll die trying. And so concludes my review for Theme Hospital, with a well-deserved 10/10.
