Battlefield 1942
Review by Naraku
"Nice concept...bad presentation"
Gameplay - Ok...I will just explain the main thing you do in this game...(keeping it pretty simple). You have a set amount of outpost in this level. Then your team has to control the most outpost (or sometimes all) so that the other team's tickets would slowly drain. Whichever team's tickets reaches zero first..loses. (tickets are also decreased by having one player kill another)
Campaign - Well...since you have no choice but to play against bots in campaign..you should be prepared for a loooong and rigged game...
Bots in this game are gods at using tanks, artillery or just about anything (except normal guns lol). They will be able to see where you are at all times and there is no such thing as hiding from them. (play Ohama Beach and see how much times you get killed by the naval ships on Axis)
The bots are also programmed to target the human player above ALL else. They won't be targeting that tank that is just beside you..they will go for Y-O-U. Why the developers do this? I seriously don't know. Maybe the constant harassment from bots might make players happy? NO WAY. It is horrible having bots harass you at all times and is one of the major downfalls of campaign because most of the time it is soo rigged because your computer allies are smart as a drunk with brain damage. ''What? We are dying you say? Oh well..not MY problem! I will just continue circling around or just standing there repairing jack with my wrench while we slowly lose!''
You are the only factor in this war!!!
3/10
Multiplayer - Noooooo...another friendly fire server? The amount of ''accidents'' that happen in multiplayer is so high, that it is beyond numbers. It is also very rare to find a server where there won't be one guy constantly disturbing the whole team, or accidentally throwing that grenade at you. It takes only one person to mess up your whole game and that is very annoying.
4/10
Story - Well..it's world war two...what did you expect? Of course this also has a good plus to it because you can change history! Mwhahaha! (Of course...you probably won't know you changed it if you have no knowledge in history what so ever)
8/10
Graphics - The graphics are good, but nothing at all to write home about.
7/10
Audio - Well...the first time you hear the opening song you will be like WOW! Then it will turn into a wow!, then a wow then a *mutes*
The songs gets a little too repetitive because there are so few of them in it. The sound effects though are pretty good, (When you hear whistling...that is going to be a bomb about to drop on you ^-^)
7/10
Replayability - After you beat the game you probably would want to play it on the Axis' side and that would probably be about it.
5/10
To buy or to rent
Well...if you are anything like me...I would say for you to borrow this off a buddy or play it at his house, see how it
