Enter the Matrix

"One of the best games I've ever played"
Story 9/10
The story is very similar to the second movie, with some elements of the first movie incorporated. The humans are fighting a war against the machines, infiltrating certain parts of the matrix for certain reasons, etc. very good story, with original ideas
Graphics – 8/10
Most of the graphics are spectacular, the shadows and reflections, especially from Niobe’s shiny clothes are great, and the bullets in bullet-time look great. It lacked a little in some areas, such as wheels on cars, the tires were a little squared off. Also, when auto aiming on an enemy below or above, sometimes the gun does not point towards the enemy, but the bullet comes out on a different trajectory than the way the gun is pointing, just a minor flaw, nothing too major.
Sound – 9/10
The sound was a great feature as well, fighting sounded real, bullets sounded like they should, and bullet-time bullets sounded just like the movies which was good overall sound was good, glass shattering, opening doors, running on certain surfaces etc.
Music was good, I liked the suspense music when in a tight situation, it matched the movies as well, and when there were no enemies around, there was no music, that was good. The only thing I noticed was that sometimes the music seemed to change intensity or mood suddenly, it did not really run in together, maybe it was just me but it sounded like an abrupt change
Game-play/Controls/ Camera – 9/10
The controls were very good, it has plenty of options of what button controls what action. The default setting for the controls were a good choice and were easy to get used to, the only thing I found was that it was a little hard to hold down “shift” to use focus or ghost in the car while doing other things, I think it should have been pressed once to activate, and once again to deactivate. The game-play was great, being able to do amazing cartwheels, dives, flips, running on walls and the kung-fu craziness was awesome, not like your average shooter game. The camera was good overall, having the option to use first person mode to move left and right, 3rd person was most effective for most situations. The only thing was sometimes the character got in my line of sight when I was in a corner
Replay – 8/10
Not the ultimate replay game, but being 3 difficulty levels and 2 different characters was good, and the training missions unlocked through hacking were fun. And just going back and trying martial arts combos was fun.
Overall 9/10
Great game, rent or buy, I would say rent if it is not your type of game and buy if it is. Even if you do not like these types of games, rent it at least or you’re missing out.
