The Sims: Vacation
Review by GGAGAHC
"Take A Vacation And Relax!!"
I've always loved the Sims series. When I first tried out Vacation, I wasn't surprised that it would get me addicted in no time. Let's start the review, shall we?
Story 8/10: It really depends on the person playing the game. You might think that this game has no story but that's not true. Say you want your Sim to get a family. That would kinda be the story: to get a family. So, basically, it all depends on the person playing. If you have no goal, then you have no story.
Graphics 9/10: I like the graphics. Sometimes, it's a little blocky but hey, maybe it's just because my computer is slow and old but that's not the point. Everything in the game looks neat and everything like that. No problem here.
Sound 10/10: Ok so there's some elevator music when you're buying or building things. That's not the point. I'll have you know that I like the music. There's also those small distinct music from a radio or...a piano. The music is very neat. Let's not forget the music when you're building in Vacation Island. It has a tropical feel to it just when you visit. The SFX is just as good. There's some realistic sounds here. You can hear the balloons pop when playing that game in Vacation Island. You can hear the sound of a snowboard running over the snow...err...ice. You can also hear your sim/snoring while they sleep! The sound is just fantastic!!!
Controls 10/10: It's easy. Just use your mouse. Some things are on the keyboard but they don't take long to learn and remember. The controls are responsive, too.
Gameplay 10/10: Ok, I won't talk about the gameplay of the Sims. I'm here to review Vacation, ok? Anyways, this expansion pack let's you now take a rest from work and busy life in Simcity and go to Vacation Island. In Vacation Island, you choose a place you wanna stay for a vacation. Then you...play like you would in daily life. However, there are tons of new things to do. You can win tickets from games and use them to buy prizes. You can play volleyball at the beach, snowboard in the mountains, and have a waterballoon fight in the forest. Of course, there's plenty more. It's very fun, indeed.
Buy or Rent? Well, if you have the latest expansion, then you should just borrow/rent this game and install it into your computer. Then you wouldn't need it anymore. Of course, though, I think you should buy this game. But you know, it's all you.
Other: Nothing else to say. This is an expansion for the Sims so, basically, it's like the Sims with a little twist. Get what I'm saying?
Overall: 10/10
