Freedom Force

Review by Sim Kid

"Who needs a kick in the teeth?"

Freedom Force is a game about a bunch of superheroes. What? Superheroes? GAME? Oh no, alot of people would say, This isn't a good way to spend my day, unless it's Spiderman or the Hulk maybe released in May. (Oh gosh, I just made a Dr. Suess style rhyme) But this game is worth a try. I saw a magazine give this game a 94%, and a game as good as that was found in a bargain bin for only 12 measly bucks!! How good can a game for 12 bucks be? Well, pretty dang good!

Graphics: 9/10
These graphics give the game a RTS touch. Oh wait, it IS an RTS. Sorry there. Some of the moves are funny, and the other graphics give the game a comic book look to it, it is superheroes after all. I also like the way the characters look, especially the manly men, the men in tiiiiiiiiggggghts! Though I wonder how thier mouths can still move after they're done talking.

Difficulty: 4/10
Yeah, no game's perfect. Some missions are pretty easy, like find O'Connor and knock him into Oblivion (Okay, so you only knock him out). Some missions are pretty long and hard. Like some games, you have to save a character with 1 HP and defense so low that even a little flick can cause massive damage (We're talkin' Final Fantasy 6 Ultima style damage) and all enemies go right after them, completely ignoring Man'O'war and Liberty Lad, standing right there. Also, it's like RTS games like Starcraft.

Control: 5/10
The Control is another bad aspect of the game. It may play like an RTS, but if you tell all 4 of your characters to fly somewhere, the ones who can't fly just stand there going ''Duuuuuuuuuh''. Also, the enemy AI is late 80's-early 90's style.

Replay Value: 7/10
The game is pretty long, it took what felt like a whole school year to beat, and it's just too easy.

Sound: 10/10
Thsi game has voices. They're pretty well done actually. The music sounds really good, and the character's voices are pretty good too. Minuteman has that manly voice, El Diablo has that Spanish accent (AY YI YI! NO ME GUSTA!), and I really like the Sea Urchin's voice. What she says is really funny (Who needs a kick in the teeth?)

Fun: 10/10
This game can be pretty non-linear. You can go around terrorizing innocent people, throw cars at buildings, kill buildlings, destroy just about everything, and even knock out innocent civillians with your powerful attacks, I bet THAT'S not the highlight of their day. This game is probably one of the funnest games ever. You can also get Maxet-out-stat-characters to get into a fistfight with eachother and mutilate their beautiful and handsome faces.

Overall: 8/10
This game has indeed proved that Superhero games can indeed be good (Besides Spiderman), and it's probably one of the funnest PC Games that has infinate choices (Besides other games with internet downloads. *Cough*Sims*Cough*), missions, and skins. You can even create your own superhero, as weak as a piece of Kleenex or too strong to purchase.

Buy or rent:
You will buy this game. You will buy this game.

Best part: Terrorizing innocents

Worst part: The mouse went crazy
