Kana Little Sister

"The most meaningful game I've ever played!"

I'm not gonna lie to you, usually I find these types of games boring. I usually like fighting games, and your basic hack and slash games with no story what-so-ever. To tell you the truth, I don't usually expect a game to wrench my emotion in any way possible. Of course it's not to be expected from games these days because how are we able to relate to what they are putting out? They are putting us in roles of characters that are either living in an unattainable reality, or just to outrageous to ever see it as a possibility.

Like I said, very few games have even come close to affecting me emotionally, maybe some from the Final Fantasy series but even that will sometimes leave you out in the rain. Lots of RPGs try to put stir up emotions in the people who play them, but usually to no avail.
But then Kana Little Sister enters, and I am literally BLOWN AWAY! I also have to comment that this is the first review I've ever done. I felt so strongly about this game that I had to let people know about it.

This story is mainly focused around Kana, even though you play in the shoes of her brother. Kana spends most of her life in a hospital because she was born with a chronic illness. There are a few other complexes that add to the drama of the story but I won't give them away! You have to play it and find out for yourself. (Trust me, I did it that way and I was NOT let down at all.)
I have to say however this is still an H-Game and is for adults only. Which leads me to my next point. Even though this is an H-Game this game stands alone without the ''H''. H-Games are often associated with perverts and the like but this is definitely not the case here. I usually try games out like this for a laugh but with Kana I was HOOKED.

Forget Mario, forget Sonic the Hedgehog, forget Cloud Strife. Kana is a gaming icon that can capture the hearts of anyone. I can almost guarantee, anyone who plays this and reads through the amazing story will at least be a little teary-eyed during it or at the end.

Anyhow, after all that talking about this amazing game, I will break off the rest of my review into separate categories.

Graphics: 9
I felt that aside from this being the best H-game I ever played story-wise, it had the best graphics in the game as well. Lots of colorful anime style CG. Another reason this gets high points is because Kana's emotions were captured well in the CG. It was wonderfully done.

Story: 10
I believe I talked about this already. The story is realistic. Anyone can relate to it, anyone can weep with it. It's great. As a matter of fact, while I was playing this I forgot it was an H-game all together. Best story ever! A+!

Music: 10
This game has a very catchy opening tune! All the music is great as well, the music can be played on a CD player too, which is not that bad of an idea considering how good it is. It goes along with the game great too!

Replay Value: 9
Yes I do know that you can't play a story-based game forever but I think very highly of this game. It also has multiple endings as well, the choices you make in the game effect the outcome, much like the tradition with most of these types of games.

Overall: 10
Honestly, I usually hate games like this. Again I have to say I find them very boring. This game just blows all other H-games out of the water. It basically puts the rest of them to shame. Nothing I can say can explain the depth of this story and the depth of Kana as a character. I have never seen anything like this, I'm 20 years old and I've been playing games most of my life and I'm blown away.

Do yourself the greatest favor ever and play this game! It'll make you think for many hours after playing it and leave you speechless! Kana can make any grown man's heart melt!
