"It's alright but"

Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Supposedly the best game ever made has hit the PC. To me however, its the most average. Sure, it might be non-linear which means that you can do it anytime. That's about it.

Graphics 5
When you have the trails on it is ugly. When you turn them off, its about 40 percent better. The cars are good but down sided because the texture is not smooth. When you first play it, the graphics look cool but I'm sure that after unlocking the last island, the graphics drop from clean to scummy. But when the sun goes down, the game does pick up. Places like Little Haiti look like a slum district.

Sound:9
The best bit. It doesn't have the common repeated music. Instead it has 1980's music like ''Video Killed the radio star'', Anthrax and more. So you will have a choice of what you want. This time round, the character will now talk which is a good thing since he has a name as well.

Game play:4
Now here's the worst bit. You are a person that was sent to do a drug deal but the deal fails and you escape from the scene. After that you'll have to tell your boss that lost it and you'll get the money back ASAP. That has got to be the least original story ever. Basically you go around doing jobs for bosses to get back the money. Again, highly un-original. That was last years idea. Sure you jack the cars and kill but you will be doing this for 1000 times. There are extra side missions like pizza delivery but the missions are extremely hard. An interesting thing is that this has its own internal clock.

Another bad bit. The cover is what gives it it's only score. The locations are bunged on for missions. An example is a nightclub. If there where no missions for that, it wouldn't be there!

Life span:Depends if you like Grand Theft Auto 3. If you DID you'll love this for a while. If not, look elsewhere

The Big Question:Waste of space or you'll see it still in six months?
Waste of space. The beach could of been a new island altogether, locations bunged on, un original story line, suffers from some nasty glitches that prevent you from getting a hundred percent. Only get this if you would kill for Grand Theft Auto 3 you'll like this game for awhile but if you would spend ninety nine dollars on this, you'll eventually regret it.
