Tribes is an online only Fps. It is set in the future with futuristic weapons. What sets tribes away from other first person shooters? 2 things: Skiing: the first game with skiing (skiing is going faster when going downhill). And the jetpack which enables flight. There are a few ways to play this game: The classic fps capture the flag, which is by far the most played on tribes. Capture and hold, where you hit switches to control bases. Football: Football, tribes style. Arena, tribes's deathmatch. Boot camp, for training. And team ariel combat, where teamwork is essential for making it across the battlefield.

There is also a unique pack system. You can deploy turrets to defend your flag, or mine it instead. Maybe a blast walls around it work better. All are unique tribes features.

This is a game for someone who loves clans, Even if you dont, you dont have to. But there are so many clans, its easy to find one, but it takes to a long time to find a comforatble one. It took me two and a half years to find a good one *cough kV cough*

With a large variety of base weapons, like the laser rifle, plasma gun give this game a good portion of stratigizing.

Oh and i cant forget the thousands of maps, many made by players around the world.

Graphics: 8/10
There not quite up to date at its time, not even close to most games so far. But it makes it easier to make skins for your character.

Sound: 10/10
This game has a list of voice sayings that other people playing can hear. And you can download new voice packs too! Not to mention you can hear every step you take and your jetpack burn. And you can do animations that only nearby people can hear. Example, If you hit ''V''A''H'' in that order while you and some one else is looking at you, they will see you wave your hand.

Controls: 9/10: Nothing special just the classic controls for a pc fps. But that control system works best.

Playabilty: 10/10
One of the most mod friendly, if not THE most mod friendly game out there, and tons of players play each day.

Price: 10/10
A great online game that only costs $5 for the cd. Wonderful. Just finding it is hard though.

Overall: 10/10
Once you start playing, its hard to quit.
