The Sims Online
Review by shags2dope78
"A terrible game to some... A great one to others?"
The Sims is one of the best games out that I can think of. Never before has a game done so well and sold so great. The game basically brought a new type of game to us and many of us enjoyed it. But when The Sims Online was first announced, I wondered how they could pull it off. They pulled off the game very well in my opinion, but from some of the reviews, people disagree.
The game is described to many people as a big chatroom. That is sometimes the case, true. You may find yourself just chatting while you raise a skill. You have to choose a skill to raise in (it may be charisma, cooking, logic, body, etc.) and you have to study it or do something that basically requires waiting to raise the skill. That is the boring part. But raising a skill is just a tiny part of the game.
The part of the game that I like so much is that you basically create your own business and run it. You have to repair things in your business that may break and you may have to clean up after your visitors. But don't get mad because you get money for the visitors. The game has so many things to do! You can set up a casino, your own comedy club, even a television show.
The thing that I liked a lot about this game is how nice people are to you in the game. In many online games, people tend to make fun of the newer people of the game. But in this game, you rarely find somebody that is annoying or just plain stupid. This is the first game that I have actually seen marriages. Sure, in many online games people make up their own marriages, but in this, you have to buy the wedding supplies and you can change outfits for the wedding.
So why do people hate this game so much? They are impatient! It may start out slow at first because it takes a while to get the hang of the features and many parts of the game, but once you do, you find yourself in a world where so many things can happen. Should you buy it? Honestly, it's hard to tell. In this type of game, you can not judge rather you want to buy it by reviews. You have to try out the game. I hope my review has given you some insight into purchasing it or not. I can only say that if you like The Sims, you will like The Sims Online!
