POCKET TANKS- YOU MUST BE BORED!
I recently found out about this game at my school. My friends showed me the website and installed it and I found it somewhat fun. Sure, it's not as good as many of the games out now, but it can be fun if you're just wanting to hang out with a friend and pass time playing a game.

A FREE GAME! WOW!
The game is shareware. You can purhcase the Deluxe version for just a dollar or two over $15, which adds more weapons. But the game without being purchased is still fun. You still have a variety of weapons and the 2 player mode is somewhat fun.

HOW DOES THE GAME WORK?
In the game, you basically just try to get your aim and power good enough at your opponent to hit me. Different weapons can do different things to your opponent. Before you start the fight, you go to the match screen and select who wants what weapons. My friends and me recommend just letting the computer do it at random. That way, you usually have the same weapons as your opponent. The graphics are alright for a game like this. They are not terrific, but the game is free so you shouldn't expect some GREAT graphics. The game really is about tactics and strategy more than anything and it is a little hard to explain how it works. Another cool thing about the game is the random maps. It always seems like the game will generate something different in the game for you to battle to.

HOW BAD IS THE SOUND AND WHAT IS THE REPLAY VALUE?
The sounds are not terrible. There is not a great amount of sound in the game, but what sound there is makes the game somewhat more funner. The replay value of the game isn't good at all if you want to play single player. I do know some people who like to play it on single player, but I find it rather boring. If you play 2 player, the replay value is a little higher.

SO SHOULD I DOWNLOAD THIS OR NOT!?
If you are bored, I would recommend downloading the game. It can kill some time and you may find it fun. It really depends on what you like if you'll like this shareware or not, but it's not too bad for a game that is practically free unless you want to purchase the Deluxe version.
