RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Wacky Worlds
Review by RockyRan
"From Taj Mahal to the Eiffel Tower"
After the sequel to a smash hit game became yet another smash hit game, Infogrames decided to launch RollerCoaster Tycoon 2's very first Expansion Pack, and boy did they do a good job!
If you have read various reviews from me, I should tell you I am going to rate this game a bit differently, since it's an expansion, not a game.
Added features (7/10)
The game design, along with the scenarios and added scenary make the game a pretty good expansion pack. However, the expansion did little to bring anything new besides scenary and scenarios, which was a big dissappointment for fans. Some people claim that the expansion could've been a download, but this is not true. The added themes might be only about seven, but they are very large containing georgeous scenary and make buildings and paths look very very nice for your park. The rides may be the ''same'' if you get technical, but the design of the rides are very different and original (not to mention cultural also) and is not a very big dissappointment if you ask me.
Graphics (10/10)
Although the game graphics in RCT2 are the same as its predecessor, the expansion's graphics have improved very well. The rides' animations are very fluent, and maybe even more fluent than the original games' rides. The scenary's graphics are very neat, crisp and clean. Many of them have realistic animations (such as flags) and they fit very well in the theme they are in. The new trees have more shading in them and they look more realistic. I don't see why anyone should say they're bad.
Price (2/10)
The worst point in the whole game. Even though the price is not ''in the game'', it is well an issue. An issue big enough for me to give it a 2 out of 10. Even though the scenarios are great and the graphics have improved, along with the scenary, which is georgeous, $30 for the expansion is not the reasonable price to set the game in. It should be $15 or $20 if not more. The original price is the price of the actual game, and I haven't seen a store that has a discount or something. I would recommend all buyers to wait until its $20 or $15 for the game, or wait to see if the next expansion (Time Twisters) was Wacky Worlds included, for $30 is at least twice the price the game is worth for.
Scenarios (10/10)
The BEST point in the game. All of the scenarios are extremely fun to play, with mouth-dropping scenary and original ideas. One scenario is situated on a festival in the middle of a city, and you must help it improve. That's right, you get to build a theme park (or festival, whichever tickles your fancy) right in the middle of a city! You also get to build parks in the Great Wall of China, or even in an Inca Lost City! All the scenarios are great and fun to play with. They are at least three times as fun as the scenarios in the original RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, so if you loved the original game's scenario's you'll go nuts over these!
As you might've guessed you're a theme park entrepreneur and you are located in various continents of the world, and are assigned to build theme parks to improve those areas. This could be for cultural awareness, tourism needs, or even population increases in the cities holding those parks. The scenarios are very different from each other. That is, you will never find two scenarios of the same kind, or will ever get bored of these game's scenarios. This is probably the main course of the game right here.

Price: (2/10)
Scenarios: (10/10
Overall score(not an average): 8/10
Closing Comments:
I recommend that all RCT2 Hardcore Fans absolutely get this game, but only for $15 or $20 for the game's worth is NOT $30. However, if you're planning on getting it, you're in for a treat, for the scenarios are extremely fun to play, the scenary is just ''wow'', and the rides are fluent in animation and very original. ''Old rides with New Vehicles'' does not describe the new rides. Anyone saying this expansion could've been a download is wrong, for the game features way more than a download, it features endless fun, scenary, and great gameplay. If you have availability for the expansion at $15 or $20, don't think about it, for you are NOT better off without this expansion!
