The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon
Review by DeathXI
"The Second Great Expansion to a Great Game"
Elder Scrolls 3: Bloodmoon, The is an expansion for the award winning and masterful RPG Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, The. This is the second expansion, with the first being tribunal, however you do not need tribunal to play this game.
Gameplay: 10/10
The gameplay gives you amazing freedom to play Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon as you choose. You can live however you desire, and the game is made even more flexible with the use of the TES Construction Set (Included w/Morrowind) which lets you add, remove, and create new thing in the world of morrowind. From just a simple new weapon, to a city, to an entire island.
Story: 9/10
The story for bloodmoon is that the imperials have built a fort up on Solstheim, an island NW of Khuul, a city in morrowind. Rumors are flying about trouble, and werewolves up there. You can go up there to investigate. You have a new main quest to do there, which splits at one point and allows you to choose your own path, and you also have a say in how the colony gets built.
Audio/Video 10/10
Just like morrowind, still great. Graphics are good, the game runs good if you have a good computer, and just like all other computer games, if you know how to move/change the names of files, you can change the music to your own style. Nothing better then walking along in morrowind listening to Def-Leppard, and then a battle comes on and the Chrono Trigger Battle theme comes on to play.
Replayability : 1 million / 10 ok ok 10/10
With 4 seperate ways of completing bloodmoon (the main quest splits 2 ways, and so does the Colony) that gives you 4 different ways to beat it with one character. And as before, in Tribunal and BLoodmoon, starting a new character makes the fun start all over, you can never get tired of this game.
Buy or Rent?
Obviously, if you have morrowind, buy. If you do NOT have morrowind, Buy morrowind, tribunal, and bloodmoon. Since you can't really rent PC Games anyway, but it doesn't matter, I would have suggested buy over rent for this game anyway.
Overall this expansion to a great RPG gets a 10/10.
On a side note, Xbox has GoTY (Game of the Year) edition coming out soon, which has both expansions, and the main game of Morrowind on it. However, the xbox version of morrowind suffered from some problems (Dirty Disc Errors when your file size got to big from just regular morrowind, w/o the expansions) So I would suggest the PC Version over the Xbox, although it does cost more. For two Reasons: One is less errors, two is the ability to d/l Mods from the internet and make your own using the TES Construction Set.
