Final Doom
Review by peach freak
"Another A+ Doom game!"
Story(Evilution)
Another Demon invasion has come, on one of Jupiter's moons. Once you drop off on one of Jupiter's moons, you find that everybody is dead, and it's up to you to save the moon.
Story(The Plutonia Experiment)
After Evilution, the marines built 7 gates in space to make sure there were no more demon invasions. Sooner or later, the gates were tested to make sure they worked right. Sometime, 6 of the 7 gates were destroyed, and all kinds of demons broke into the Earth. You get phone call about this, and you get in your suit with your pistol. But by the time you see all the demons, all of your buddies are dead, and it's up to you to save Planet Earth once again.
Graphics: 10/10
Final Doom now has enhanced graphics, what you didn't see in Doom or Doom II. All enemies are still the same, and so are the weapons. There are some areas that are hard to see, so watch out. Otherwise, everything is perfect.
The Graphics in Evilution are awesome. Sometimes, when you're out in the opening, the background may be outer space, where you see the stars, The Milky Way, and more, and as this takes place on one of Jupiter's moons, the graphics look more realistic. Plutonia also has enhanced graphics, and as Plutonia takes place on the Earth, you can see streets and buildlings on level 29, making it very realistic too.
Gameplay: 10/10
Shooting monsters is sure fun, but watch out in the Plutonia Experiment. Even in the early levels, there are many powerful enemies. You solve puzzles, grab keys, and blast your way through 32 levels in either episode. Evilution is easy, so don't worry if you're a beginner in Doom. Before you start a new game, you pick your skill level: I'm Too Young To Die; Hey, Not Too Rough; Hurt Me Plenty; Ultra Violence, or Nightmare. The harder your skill level, the more damage you take, the more enemies appear, and a whole lot of saving too.
Sound Effects: 10/10
The sound effects in this game are awesome. The sounds of either Shotgun reloading sound realistic, and the Plasma Guns sounds AWESOME when you fire it. Also, Aracnotrons (small spiders) have great death sounds. A few enemies like the Cyberdemon make sounds when they walk, and they get louder and scarier as he's getting closer to you.
Music: 10/10
Doom or Doom II players, welcome to the same music in The Plutonia Experiment. its levels has Doom and Doom II music, which both games have really good music. Or if you don't like the music, turn the volume off, and listen to your own.
In Evilution, there is new music, and some music titles from Doom II. The new music is great, and some of the good ones are Maps 1, 2, 8, and 16. All other new titles are still good.
Replayabilty: 10/10
If you have beaten this game for the first time, get back there and play it again. This game is fun in every way, and it will never get boring. So you're about to ditch a Doom game, don't even think about it.
Rent or Buy?
Buy, Buy, BUY!!! You'll love this game, if you're an FPS fan or not. Or don't just buy this: you can get it in the Doom Collector's Edition, which has Ultimate Doom, Doom II, and Final Doom, for only $20.
Overall: 10/10
Final Doom is another Doom game which ID Software should be proud of. Good music, gameplay, graphics, sound effects, replayability, and buying this game is a smart idea
