Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator: WWII Europe Series

"Probably just for die-hard fans of flight simulators"

FIRST OFF!
Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator is really a fun game...For die-hard fans, but if you're a normal gamer like me and just wants to try something new then I'd recommend something else. First off this simulator is really hard even if you set it to easy mode. The best thing I suggest if you really want to get into flight simulators is to get a joystick of some sort. Why? Because it makes it much easier while flying the plane, and hey it makes it more realistic when your pulling or pushing the joystick, other then holding down your direction buttons.

AUDIO, HEAR THOSE BULLETS!
The audio is good and bad. The good thing is that you don't need to worry about what kind of music there is, because there's no music at all! Then again you can consider this a bad thing... Okay, there's also the sound of the machine gun firing, skid sound of the plane landing, the sound of the engine starting, the plane taking off, taking damage (other planes shooting at you) and many other sound effects! That's just too realistic and it gets boring from time-to-time. Or you can just listen to the great sound of the rotors rotating, and the wind...

MY MY, WHAT BIG GRAPHICS YOU HAVE
Yes the graphics, it's HORRIBLE! Yep, big as in big blotches of color (especially the clouds), not much details at all even with high-end graphic cards. It's better than some other games of it's time. Heh, yeah the time of World War II! Well, it's okay for graphics of the 1998. Not being a bad critique or anything but yes it's not something you'd want to get if graphics is what you're looking for in a game.

When using your keyboard --- beware. It's not really the best choice of control, I'd suggest using a joystick, but just to criticize the keyboard I'll continue. The controls are really sluggish, if you don't hold your key for long enough nothing will happen, but if you hold it too long the plane will go haywire. So as I said before I suggest this for big fans of flight simulators or get a joystick...The JOYSTICK is the best thing to go with. Set it to high sensitivity and you're really to shoot some planes down that you have no idea why, unless you actually hear the briefings.

SHOULD YOU SHOOT DOWN PLANES?
If you still don't get to picture read the whole review again...until you do. Well ok don't just to save you time, don't get this unless you're into flight simulators and if you want to go into flight simulations, then I don't recommend this game to you. Otherwise go ahead and get it.
