Aliens Versus Predator 2
Review by Towelie000
"Another Classic FPS"
This game basically puts you in a person view from a Alien to Predator to Marine.
Graphics: 8/10
Its not using up to date 3d engines but its still a nice touch to the game. Don't be expecting Unreal 2 graphics but expect to experience 3d worlds and no 2d animations.
Controls:10/10
Its your basic Mouse and Keyboard FPS. You need the mouse to look around and the keyboard to move but the different classes all have their special keys. The marines have keys for hacking devices, flashlight and flares. Predators have controls for zoom vision, different views( Thermal,Alien and Cloaked).
Multiplayer:4/10
Ok this is where they failed. No anti-cheat what so ever. It's pretty sad walking into a server. Aimbots, headshot mod's and infinite ammo. You can basically just spawn and be killed. It's ok if you find a server with out hacks but its liable that somebody will join with one. I hope Fox Interactive fixes this but for now you should stick with Single Player unless you want to be shot from across that map in the head.
Gameplay:10/10
Three campaigns for the different races. It all mends together to make a ''On the edge of your seat'' game. It takes awhile to be able to tell what to do but they made it so that you can easily find your way around. In example. 2 doors to choose from but one is locked. Just to help you get around and not go off-course.
Sounds:10/10
Home alone,Stormy night, dark,Loud speakers. Pretty freaky. Sometimes the sound sound like they are from horror films. You know like the fast violin or deep pickslides. Yeah those can get to you after wandering in the dark (in the game) and then a pipe breaks right down in front of you. There is growling and screams. So you won't be disappointed.
AI:9/10
They are pretty good at doing stuff on their own including figuring out where you are. All the races will work together to either get you or get the rival race. Marines I've noticed are very smart. They will hear a noise and ask each other ''What was that'' or tell his teammate to go and check it out. They always give you backup as well the enemy gives themselves backup too.
Replay Ability:9/10
Nothing wrong with this. You want to play just to find out what happens next and if you have the expansion (Primal Hunt), it adds another 9 levels.
This game is fairly cheap these days. I got my copy for 28$ and it came with the expansion.
