Warcraft: Orcs and Humans
Review by TheArabFather
"A good first effort"
Warcraft: orcs and humans compared to today’s standards is sloppy, bad and repetitive. But since it was made like 9 years ago we can make and exception. Warcraft: orcs and humans is to my knowledge the first RTS game every out, and the first Blizzard game out. It is fun and addictive would whip pacman’s butt any day. Still this is a l33t game and should not be dissed, except if you are talking about its sound.
With Warcraft being a RTS game you control units and use your peasants or peons(if you are orc) to make buildings, and you use the buildings to make more units and such. You send out your slaves to gather wood and gold so you can make more units and buildings. Most of the units are unique and have advantages and disadvantages. There are also upgrades for the units of the game and the ever popular spells that you can use to make the game more enjoyable.
The controls of Warcraft: orcs and humans is pretty cheesy because you can only select 1 unit at a time, which really brings down the overall score of the game. Other then that the game is really quite fun and great.
The graphics on Warcraft: orcs and humans is actually quite good considering the age of the game, they are 16bit sprites and actually good ones at that. The games graphics were top of the notch 9 years ago so I must give it a decent score for that.
The story of Warcraft: orcs and humans is cool, fun and entertaining. You could sum it up by saying that orcs and humans don’t like each other so they fight to the death. The game itself doesn’t really give you a detailed storyline so you have to get no.2 or no.3 or you could just get a faq for it.
The sound in Warcraft: orcs and humans is tremendously terrible, with extremely little digital sound. There is no background music but I must give some credit for the attacking sounds and fighting sounds.
The replay value of Warcraft: orcs and humans is very low, sure back in the day you could spend hours and hours playing his or Wolfenstein 3d but there is so much more out there today. One main factor to having such a low replay value is the mouse controlling where you can only select one unit at a time.

Overall this game still is good but it shouldn’t be your first priority to get.
