"Welcome to The Harvester: Freighter of the Drake Enterprises"

I was bored last week so i decided to download a copy of this game and after 3 missions, i went out and bought it to support the team who created this awesome game. It has a great storyline (well, i thought it did), and an ''RPG feel'' to it since there is a lot of interaction with the characters and cities you travel to.

Graphics
The graphics in this game will blow you away. Some textures are low-res but you wont find much else wrong here. If you like games with flashy, great looking graphics, this is for you. If you have a Ti4600/9500 pro or better, youll be able to run this at full settings no problem.

Sound
Sound is very crisp and clear. There is alot of interactions and talking with the characters, but there isnt really a true model for each character, just a picture on the chat dialog when you talk to them. Youll be listening to alot of talking in this game, but at least it's not bad quality, and some of it is interesting, but gets boring as you keep playing because you just want to get into the action sometimes.

Storyline

The storyline is about a guy who is the last in his family, his mother having been killed by Pirates. The earth has become threatened by these creatures that are indestructable, and the majority of the people are now living under the sea. The Freighter that William Drake, the main character is piloting gets invaded by a crew looking for something, but if i say much more it spoils it. I liked the story, and theres alot to it.

Gameplay/Controls

The Controls are just like a FPS. W,S,A,D controls the movement of the ship, as the mouse looks around...the normal controls. You have the option to switch it to ''Sim'' mode, where the sub handles somewhat like the planes in Battlefield 1942. Gameplay is straightforward....destroy the enemy, guard your ship, escort a convoy, salvage a ship, etc. I have to admit, sometimes the levels get boring when you're in between action or trying to find it.

Try or buy?

Download the demo, i think there is one. If you like it, get the game, you wont be dissapointed. You will need some time on your hands to play it though, since you spend a majority of the game talking to people trying to find out what to do next.
