"An alright game, not the best, not the worst."

Sacifice is a RTSG (Real time stradegy game). This game is not like any other RTGS though. Instead as playing as races you play a wizards with access to many spells. Well this is my first review, I'll review the game to how I think it is and also add a little bonus at the end. You will see what 3 pro review score are for the game, from Gamespot, Gamepro and IGN.

Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are like the N64 graphics. I like the graphics. It fluid and nice. The sky is beuatiful and some skys are cool to look at. There is one graphic that should be in the game: Water. Some people don't care if there is water or not but I do. I like to see water in any game. You have these trees and plants and even monsters living on these islands floating in mid-air. But no water to support them. It would of been nice to see some water.

Sound: 7/10
The sound is not supurb but not too bad. You have some nice mellow music that sets the stage nicely. The voice acting is good. But the main character's voice can get old. He sounds cool at first but after a while you just want to shut him up. And that little imp can get on your nerves. Everytime a monster dies he talks, everytime you see an enemy he talks. And this happens often. If you shut him off your on your own to see if you alter is being desicrated. The sound affects are good. It makes you feel your right there in the action. The monster quotes are funny though. Try the trolls and fire fists, they say some funny crap.

Story: 5/10
I thought the story was bland. You kill this demon named Marduk. I'm not sure why besides he's evil. But most RTSGs don't have a compelling story, only one that does have a good one is Starcraft but thats another review. If you looking for a game with a good story line look elsewhere.

Gmaeplay: 7/10
The gameplay is uniqeu to most RTSGs. You play in 3rd person view unlike birds eye view in most. You walk around with your wizard packed with spells and monsters beside him. Instead of using currency like gold or what not in most RTSGs you use souls. You summon monsters by paying a certian ammount of souls and mana. It's uniqeu but I rather build a town and train troops and stuff like that. The think that really ticks me off is the formations. There is a formation where you can have monsters folow you from behind. When you move they always do there best to behind you. It's a real pain in the neck to select them when you have troubles seeing them. You can use groupings but you don't get much time to that with most of your creatures. You are preasured into gathing the most souls and making an army before the enemy find you. In a stadegy game your suppose to use stategic tactics. It doesn't seem that way. You build an army and pound the enemy with your strength. No satdegy at all.

Replay: 6/10
You have multi-player with this and that alright. But once you are done with the story once you dont want to do it again. For one it's hard and the other the story line is so bland why play through it again. You do have a map maker. But the dam thing is so confusing and has no tutorial. So you have to learn yourself or look for a turorial on the net.

Overall: 6/10
If you haven't played the great RTSGs like starcraft, warcraft, and command and concerour, you might like this game. But if you have you'll miss most of the traditional RTSG elements. But hey the game is so cheap like $10 or so, so you wont be wasting much cash if you don't like it.
