Hidden & Dangerous
Review by LightScribe
"An excellent campaign based game"
Hidden And Dangerous is a first person shooter with a difference. In Hidden And Dangerous, you play your way through campaigns consisting of several scenarios each, while at the same time managing your men and stockpile of weapons and ammo. But, if you are running low on ammunition, you can grab some from the Germans you have disposed of.
Game Play: 9/10 – Hidden And Dangerous is an excellent game. You pick a team of 10 men for each campaign, and then select your weaponry for the campaign. Then, you have to select four men per mission, and arm them as you see fit. Once your 10 men have died (over at least 3 scenarios), you must start again. This means, that you can’t lose too many men in each individual mission.
Graphics: 10/10 – Hidden And Dangerous has great graphics, and is very realistic. The game is mainly outdoor stages, but some are inside buildings, which are fully interactive. There are many characters each with their own individual face and qualities. Then you see vehicles, which look quite realistic, and settings that are skillfully created. The entire game is great, with realistic looking environments.
Sound: 10/10 – The sound in this game is breathtaking. Each gun has its own sounds, and each man has his own voice. The sound of guns and grenades makes you feel as if you are really there. The music is played according to your location. For example, if you are in a small city at night, the music is quieter than if you are on a runway in broad daylight with Germans all around you. Another feature is that you will be warned by the music if there are Germans around.
Game Value: 9/10 – This is a game worth buying. It has missions, which will see you on foot, in tanks, in a plane and in other vehicles. You will have to blow up safes containing documents, rescue hostages, and kill your way through many German soldiers. The game has infinite possibilities, and most people would enjoy working their way through the levels several times.
Conclusion: This game is great, and I don’t know why it isn’t very popular. I feel that there is nothing more fun than killing Germans with the Grenades you stole from their deceased team-mates. You can also have the German weapons in your main stockpile, and save them for later scenarios. The game is almost perfect, so it receives a 9/10
