Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

"Great Value for Money and Very Addicting."

Introduction RTCW: ET is a completely free multiplayer game, you can just download it and play as much as you like with no hidden costs whatsoever.
This game features 6 very different and well designed maps, 5 classes (Medic,Soldier,Field Ops,Covert Ops,Engineer). Each class has a choice of unique weapons which also vary depending on what side you're playing on.

Graphics: 8/10 The graphics in this game are very nice when put up to the optimum settings adn have some of the best flamethrower effects i've ever seen. The game hardly ever lags in big firefights and lag in general is non existent with a broadband connection. The Maps are very well designed which is good since there are only 6 maps. IT may sound like a small amount but the maps are large and have many routes/objectives which keeps the game interesting. Player models are fine too and I have no major problems with this games graphics.

Sound: 10/10 There are some fabulous sound effects in this games, all the weapons sound very unique and convincing. Nothing much else to say here because everything sounds perfect.

Gameplay: 10/10 The meat and potatoes of this game. Each map is objective based and there are around 1-3 primary objectives on each map and many secondary objectives which aren't necessary to completing the map.
There is an XP system where players can earn XP for Staying alive (battle sense), killing (light weapons) and completing your class specific role. When a player reaches a certain amount of XP, they receive upgrades in weapon use, ammunition and other helpful bonuses. This is what separates the game from other FPS's. You don't need to be a great shot to be an asset to your team, if you're a medic you can spend your time healing your team and keeping them attacking. Field ops can stay out of the action and keep the team well stocked with ammo (very generous and helpful). This is all because to complete objectives you need good teamwork and knowledge of your class.

Multiplayer: 10/10 This is a multiplayer only game, no singleplayer at all. But why have a singleplayer game when you can have hours of fun online battling it out.

This is a solid game and definitely beats other games which you have to pay for. It is very addictive and has kept me playing for weeks. This is a must have in your collection and you dont even need to leave your house to get it :)
