"If I shoot you, will you bleed Vodka?"

Ever wanted to take it to the soviet scum? This is your chance. Freedom Fighters takes you to the mean streets of New York after America has lost to the Soviets in the Cold War. You are an unknown plumber on his way to do a routine ermm....plumbing job with your brother Tony. The first stop on the list is a beautiful news anchor named Isabella.
While at her apartment, the Soviets break in and capture your brother Tony. It's up to you to rescue your brother and do whatever possible to free America.

Now, I can't say this is the greatest game I've ever played, but it's pretty damned good.

On to the ''review''

Controls

This games controls might seem quite complicated when you find out all the stuff you must do, but it's quite simple to learn. You've got your basic FPS movements and aiming with the mouse. You have numbers 1, 2 and 3 for your squad commands

Graphics

After playing the Xbox version of this I can tell you it's quite a step up when you can pump up the graphics to the highest settings. It's quite pretty and the city environments are quite amazing. As you walk down the streets, when you look up you can see in the distance the empire state building standing tall as the symbol of freedom. The character models are also quite detailed. Heh, I can also sadly say, Isabella is quite the foxy lady.

Sound

Well, you got your basic sounds of destruction with this game. The music is also a great addition with the game. When I'm running around the corner to bust some commies, I don’t want to hear the serene silence of New York as a war zone. I want to hear some bad ass music, and the game delivers just that.

Story

Simply amazing. It puts quite a twist on the whole Cold War situation we were in back in the day. Also if you take a closer look and compare why the commies are ''liberating'' the USA, it is quite similar to the situation with Iraq and the USA at the moment. Excellent take on it. Whenever I completed a mission and my soldier took down the soviet sickle and hammer and brought up the good old red, white and blue…something inside me stirred. It makes you think.

All in all, I do suggest that you guys buy this game. It's simply awesome. Even those who are not supportive of the US government at the moment, you will find that this game stirs just a little bit of patriotism in your hearts. I know it did with me.
