Monopoly Tycoon
Review by helloiforgotmyname
"Another Hasbro Tycoon"
Introduction-Monopoly Tycoon isn't a computer space waster, but it doesn't exactly make the hours just fly by either. It's fun for awhile, but it gets boring after 4 or 5 days if you ask me. I bought this game thinking it was another RCT type game. Man, was I wrong. Don't be expecting a RCT type game.
Gameplay(4/10)-Monopoly Tycoon is just the same thing every scenerio. Build buildings in a city and watch people go to your CPU oppenent's building on the other side of town instead. There's a survey thing, thats explained how to use and everything in the tutorial(which I'll hit on later), that tells you what the people want in your town. For example, you'll look at the survey and it says 44% Grocery Store, so you make a grocery store. Then the percentage goes down to...42%! Wow!
Story(5/10)-As I said earlier, you just do the same thing in each scenerio. The only difference is that you might have a few more oppenents or a different goal. All of the other Hasbro games, RCT series etc etc, change at least some from scenerio to scenerio. They could've at least changed it some. There's not really much of a story. All you do is be mayor of a town without actually running for it. Also, you just try to make more buildings than the other people and make more money too.
Graphics/Sound(6/10)-The people in this game look pretty boxy when looking from the close view angle. They're just dots from the regular one though. The sound is pretty good though. The tunes aren't that catchy, but they fit the spot they play. The Graphics pull this score down while the Sound keeps it over 5. The tunes are kind of cool, but not cool enough to start dancing to, and the graphics make you want to get up and dance and laugh sometimes.
Playtime/Replayability(8/10) This game is great to replay because you can pick a scenerio or goal and just play against computers with whatever goal you want. The playtime isn't that good, but it's not to bad. The game supplies enough for anyone to play for weeks.
Conclusion-This game can be found in just about any Target, Walmart, or other supercenter. I wouldn't pay more than $20 so it's a good idea not to pay anymore than that. An o.k. Hasbro game that works with just about any Windows computer.
Buy it if you want.
