Robin hood: The legend of Sherwood is a real time strategy game from strategy first, featuring our hero Robin Hood, and all the other characters from the cast, from little John to maid Mary ann, the pretty one.

The game only features a story mode, wich is very good, but with a few flaws. Alright, let's get reviewing, starting with whatever comes to mind first...the graphics!

Graphics: 8/10

Graphics in this game are in bird's eye view, wich is'nt bad at all. It does leave for very detailed characters, and the textures are amazing. no frame lag at all, wich is very impressing. it does'nt matter if your close-in on your character or zoom-out, they always look good. the only bad thing about the graphics is that they look a bit too cartoony. And the game does feel like in the robin hood times. So i give the graphics a good 8/10 because of the few minor flaws.

Gameplay: 9/10

Let's start with the controls. Truly great and not frustrating at all. each character has different ''attacks'', wich makes the characters even better.
The controls are simple, very simple, and you probably don't even need to go through that mini tutorial at the beginning of the game.
The opponnent react differently depending on how, and from where you hit them. There are different goals that are assigned to you in each mission, all very original. The game is fairly long, so when you'll beat it you'll want to start all over again! the only bad thing about the gameplay is that there is only 1 mode. so 9/10 for the gameplay.

Storyline: 7/10

The story is the real robin hood story, but i was expecting more cinematics and so. it's nothing amazing, but nothing bad. That's about all i have to say here.

Sound: 8/10

The character speaches are original and funny. The effect of the hood and all are very good too.

Replay value: 8/10

A game that'll last you for a few good months, but still a very good game. You'll want to restart the story mode maybe just a few times.

Rent or buy?

I say any good real time strategy game SHOULD check out this game. it's really worth taking a look at. If you don't really like real time strategy games, i suggest you rent it, but it's cheap, 30 dollars big maximum...

Overall: 8/10
