RollerCoaster Tycoon: Corkscrew Follies Expansion

Review by Squall15

"Good, but aren't most sick of RTC by now?"

Ah, Roller Coaster Tycoon. I bought the original game the day it came out. I've played it to death since then. Obviously, I bought the expansion pack when it came out. I have to say, it's a mixed bag. Let's start with the basics.
First, the good. Oh boy, there are a lot of improvements. My favorite has got to be the new banner signs. Ever have the problem of guests wandering up paths and getting lost? Simply place one of these, and boom, they can't go up it. Next, there is the muscic. Very cool. Now any ride can have music added to it, from a variety of themed music. More music can be added if you research it. Another new thing is painting. Now you can paint different sections different colors, making a striped coaster if you want. There is also a lot of other features, such as more paths and quese's, new scenery, and a lot of new scenarios. There are also a ton of new rides, but you'll find out what they are for yourself. These new scenarios are tough, and the lowest guest count scenario is 1200 guests. There are 30 new scenarios.
Now the bad. It's pretty easy to say. Despite all these additions, gameplay is the same. The new features, and all the new rides work in the old scenarios, but after this long, who's interested? It took me a hell of a long time to beat the original, and about halfway through the expansion pack, I just set up my park and went to do something else, checking back occasionally.
In conclusion, but this if you love RTC and aren't sick of it, but for everyone else, it's just too boring.
