Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
Review by WSiglerJr
"Fantastic CQB Sim!"
Tom Clancy is a famous author. He makes fantastic novels, and a lot of them end up as games, such as "Rainbow Six". Rainbow Six is a fantastic QCB (Close Quarters Battle) Simulation, and is very realistic, as one shot can kill you or the enemy, but a slight lack of weapons, and kits makes it a little less than perfect, even though it is still fantastic. And you can download modifications all over the internet, adding maps, guns, etc., which fixes the problem a little bit. Rainbow Six is about an international counterterrorism group called "Rainbow", whose leader is codenamed "Six", therefore "Rainbow Six". In Rainbow Six you select your team members, then their weapons and equipment, then you plan how the mission should execute, then you finally execute the mission. There are 16 different missions, each with it's own objectives and situations. There are also 20 operatives for you to choose to go on the missions. And, if they are killed, wounded, fatigued, or incapacitated, they may not be able to go on the next mission, their stats are severely lowered for the next mission, or they are unable to go on any mission, until they are given the proper amount of time to rest, since this is like real life. If this sounds difficult you can also train in one of the many training levels to hone your skills, making you a a deadly silent killer. Also, like many of the great games available, it has a multiplayer option, so you can go online, and from there there are more options. You can have a last man standing type of game, rescue the hostages, assassinate the leader type game, or even have everyone help each other complete one of the single player maps. The game is extremely fun so you'll be wanting to come back again and again, trying to see if you can beat a mission you have completed with less casualties, etc. I highly recommend buying this game. If you don't you'll be missing out on a fantastically made game, and you'll regret it later. So buy Rainbow Six now! You'll be glad you did!
