"Where's Pat?!?"

One of the more popular game shows of all time comes to the PC. WHEEL OF FORTUNE or as they like to call it now-a-days, The Wheel. The basics of this game remain the same, spin the wheel, if it lands on a dollar ammount guess what letters are in the words on the board.

Graphics: 9/10

As you would expect from Wheel of Fortune, the graphics are bright and pretty well done. Everything is easy to see and Vanna White even blends in well with the game. The only real issue is that when you spin, a lot of the time is will zoom out so it can show Vanna White clapping *rolls eyes* I just think it would be nice if maybe I could see what money ammount it landed on.

Sound: 8/10
Overall the sounds were well done. The usual bleeps that you here on the game show are included. The only problem was that Vanna sometimes sounds a little dry. Also the computer players, in an attempt to give them depth I would image, have long dragged out explanations of what letters they chose. Example; '' I would like the letter P as in pencil.'' They do this a lot so it really can get on your nerves.

Control: 7/10
The controls are pretty basic, press the spacebar to spin the wheel and use the keyboard to input letters. The main problem I have is that the letter ''S'', one of the more popular letters I might add, is the key to solve the puzzle. You can't get out of solving once you go in. A couple times I got trapped in this myself.

Playability: 7/10
I don't know about anyone else, but there really is a reason that Pat is the host and Vanna just turns letters. Anyways there are a couple of problems. Mainly when you play against computer players. Occasionly the computer can easly answer very hard phrases with only a few letters, thankfully it's not very often. Occasionally I think it likes to land on bankrupt and lose a turn too often, but I might just be really unlucky.

Overall: 8/10
Overall the game is game is pretty good. It does everything it needs to do and not much more. Your only real options of play are how long you want to play or for how many rounds. If you are a Wheel fan than this should keep you happy. Although for free you can play online.
