Divine Divinity
Review by itoilet9
"Somewhat of a good game."
Divine Divinity, if you look at it first glance, may look like a Diablo 2 imatator, but it is not. this game takes the best of Planescape: Tourment and Diablo 2 and smashes them together. from stealing (tourment) and running in a 3-D plane (Diablo 2), this game is preety cool once you get pretty far. all the points of this game are great, but sound gets the dominant score because the sound effects are mind blowing and very realistic with a good sound card.
Graphics: 10/10: The graphics definitely surpass that of Diablo. the graphics are very detailed, though the character graphics may not seem so good, but the area graphics are really good and make up for this. this is a great side of the game. the grass and building's textures are definitely mind blowing.
Sound: 10/10: This is definitely the more dominant point of the game. the sound really rules, even if you turn the quality all the way down. the theme song is so beautiful that i listen to it completely before playing. the in game music and FX are really nice. you hear realistic sounds. swords clanging, etc. The voiceovers are very nice too, if your computer can handle them and you got some good speakers.
Gameplay: 9/10: The controls are easy to get a hold of, and the controls are very easily placed on the keyboard. its easy to get, so if your reading up on reviews to get this game, it is a very good game for experts and novices alike. the game is very diverse. the system of the game is also well designed, though many people say it copies diablo. not true. it is very different from diablo and tourmant. like i said, its supposed to be like both.
Replay: 8/10: this game is nowhere near as free as diablo is, but it is still pretty much like free will. you can take different quests, and get rewards and gold. there is tons to do, bosses to beat, and people to meet and make angry. there are always more items and such to find.
Buy? YES! this game is pretty good if Diablo 2 or Tourment left you hankering for something more. there is so much to do, you will be taken for months. this game is nowhere as addictive as diablo 2. there is no internet support though. seems like a good game if it did have internet access.
