"One of my favorites after all these years"
This game, Full Tilt! 2 Pinball, is a little known game by a
big known company, Maxis, the makers of SimCity and The Sims. A table from their earlier game, Full Tilt! Pinball, is probably know to most of you. First packaged with Windows 95 Plus!, the table known as ''Space Cadet Pinball'' now comes with all current versions of Windows. Yep, it was that big. Well, this game wasn't. It's so small I've never even heard of anyone else who's played it!
Gameplay: 9
You just look at this game, and you know it's going to be fun. The tables Alien Daze, Captain Hero, and Mad Scientist come with this game. In Alien Daze, you quest around earth like in a 50's B Sci-fi movie parody, picking up unsuspecting abductees and recapturing bigfoot (yep, he's an alien) and so on. The bumpers are trailers from a trailer park, and the plunger is a ray gun! In another table, Captain Hero, you are there to save the day as ''At Man''! Travel through the streets of your local city and beat up baddies, like Mystman and Mad Scientist! In the final table, Mad Scientist, you are a mad scientist looking for parts to finish your masterpiece, a rotting corpse brought back to life! Watch out for angered townsfolk with pitchforks and torches, and for Igor's rampant blundering! Don't drop the brains!!! All in all, the game works great, pretty much bug-free. Pretty much everything that you see in this game
could be put into real pinball except for a few things. Unfortunately, these are rather big things, so I don't see this ever becoming a real pinball game. It would be nice to see, though. Too bad I never will...
Sound: 9
The sound to this game is very fitting, but very goofy. Yup, very goofy. Very realistic though, couldn't ask for much more to this.
Graphics: 9
The finest point of the game, other than actually playing the game, these graphics are superb. Couldn't ask for anything more. The pinball itself even has some reflections on it of the table around it!
All in all, if you see this game for $9 dollars at a store, I'd pick it up and play it. This is virtual pinball at its finest. The one disadvantage is that it's a very hard to find game. Just keep looking! I'm sure one day you'll find it, just like me, after my first CD broke.
