2002 FIFA World Cup
Review by Levi Tru Playa
"The World Cup at it's best."
Gameplay 10/10
Very fun gameplay. Although lots of people think the game is slow, i think it's a very realistic pace. You can do some real cool moves like the diving header, juggling the ball, sliding kicks and my favorite, the bicycle kick. I love EA's gameplay because no matter how good or bad you are at the game, the difficulty settings are exactly what they say. For example: You put the game on beginner and the game is really for the beginner or you put the game on world-class and you've got a super difficult match on you're hands. There is even special star players. The game is cool because you can also be some of the teams that didn't qualify.
Graphics 10/10
You can always count on EA to have the best and most up to date graphics. Incredible player detail that has every little detail from the shape of the head to the eyebrow. Then you've got the stadiums. The stadiums look incredibly sweet also having every little detail. Even the mascots have better graphics then alot of newer games. There is also some cool video footage of people saying things about soccer and what it's like hosting the World Cup and stuff like that. Even the shadows look great.
Audio 10/10
Some cool tunes from the real world cup. The players talk to each other in their own language which is cool and great commentary. I don't usualy take much notice of audio in games but this game changed my thinking. Another thing about the commentary is that it's not as repetitive as alot of other EA Sports games.
Replay Value 10/10
It's so fun playing this game and you can even unlock these real awesome teams. It's great fun causing upsets like Australia winning the world cup or Senegal beating Brazil.
Realisim 10/10
As usual EA sports have got the official licenses for everything, which is good.Good pace as well that you can change. The only thing that isn't always good is how strange the goalies act like sometimes they dive for these kicks that were right in front of them and miss the ball and some times the goalie would pull out a immortal save.
Conclusion
A fun filled fifa soccer game. Another great chapter for the great book of EA sports. The only thing it could have is a few more tournaments but then again, this is Fifa 2002 WORLD CUP.
