Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior

"A Halo Wannabe?"

You are Kais, a Fire Warrior engaged in a fierce battle against a force that shows no mercy: The imperium of man. You will soon learn there is a darker foe at hand and become entangled in a terrifying story that leads you through the most horrific 24 hours of your life. – That’s what it says on the box, sounds interesting, but this game has had some pretty awful reviews and I think I’ll throw in my opinion.

Idea :

Warhammer has a huge fanbase all over the world and it couldn’t be too long before they started making games for it and so far none of them have lived up to the potential that the name “Warhammer” could of gave it. This game is set in the 40,000 game, if you are not familiar with warhammer it means its sort of futuristic where as Warhammer: Fantasy is mythic, but enough of that. I thought “a warhammer FPS”, this really could be as good as halo if they did it right. But they didn’t as you will see.

Gameplay :

The movement and shooting is like most FPS and you do have the option to change them, the gun, well it’s hard to get it accurate and even harder to aim at their head. But other than that it seems OK

Graphics :

Nothing really special here either; decent texture, well detailed, gunfire looks smooth maybe only the slight problem for me is the fire; just looks like a orange blob to me.

Sound :

Well really lack of it. No music in game or options, gun sounds almost the same for every weapon. The worst bit is when you kill someone, a huge “Uhhahhhhohhhhawwwww” every single time to kill them which really gets on my nerves.

Overall :

It may seem like I haven’t backed up my idea for this game being bad, but here it is; there is nothing new! Nothing special, you run around shooting guys the same as you do in any FPS, so really what’s the point in buying this if you could get Halo, Unreal, MOHAA or half-life. If there were no such thing as FPS’s this game would be hailed the masterpiece among men, but its not simply because you can get a FPS which has more features and is more polished than this, infact many more.

To say this game is the worst FPS ever is the overstatement of the Century, but if your not a fan of FPS and warhammer don’t bother getting this, if you love FPS’s and have MOHAA, Unreal, Half-life and halo and want another then I would suggest this one as an option.
