"A Simcity for the New Generation"

The Simcity Series has allways been my favorite set of games. When Simcity 3000 Unlimited and World Edition came out, I just had to buy it! I recommend you do the same. This game will keep you occupied for hours! What with new programs, such as Building Architect Plus (The new version of Urban Renewal Kit for Simcity 2000) and Scenario Creator, not to mention 100 World Famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building and the CN Tower, 9 disasters, 13 Scenarios, Hundreds of new buildings, and two new Building sets, Asian, North American and Europian. For any Simcity fan, this is a must have.

Story: 2/10

Story? There's a story? ..No? Basically you are simply a mayor. That's it. You just build and make decisions, set budgets, strengthen your police force, etc. Sometimes disasters happen too, so you'll have to take care of those. But other than that there is basically no story.

Graphics: 8/10

With Maxis's idea to simply illustrate the game's infrastructure by hand came one of the most graphically enhanced games of its time. Buildings are so crisp, but Building Architect created ones come out blurry in the game, Which was a major let-down. But other than the 20% failure, the game is perfect! Cars, Even people can be seen, not to mention clouds. And sometimes lightning! A rival to Simcity 4, for sure.

Audio: 9/10

The sounds and music are just as good or even better than the picture! I was amazed at the variety in music and 3d Sounds, background noises, and not to mention DISASTERS! I just love listening to the sound of that Falling Space Debris..... Yup. You'll love the sounds in this game.

Gameplay: 10/10

Gameplay is another strength in this game. Of course, what PC game isn't? pushing buttons is a simple click, selecting and placing objects is a simple click. If you have a slower computer, than you'll have to expect choppy animations sometimes. But man, this game totally takes advantage of your computer's Video and Sound Card! It would have been cool to see a God Mode in Simcity 3000, like in Simcity 4. But, I still have absolutely no grudges about this game's gameplay. It deserves a solid 10.

Replayability: 10/10

Replayability is this game's middle name! But such is to be expected with all Simulation games. You start out by building a city, or using one of the Starter Towns to begin your metropolis. So, you get bored of that for a little while. Then go check out the Scenarios. You beat them all. Then mess around with the game's sample cities. Bored of that? Then go make your own Scenario, or Make a WHOLE bunch of Buildings in BA+! There is so much to do in this game. You'll enjoy every minute of it.

Rent/Buy: BUY

By all means, buy. I mean, don't even rent it first to check it out. BUY, BUY, BUY!!! Like I said, you'll enjoy every minute of it. THIS GAME WILL NOT BE A LET DOWN! Unless you buy a broken used one or something. If you do, don't look at me. But especially if you are a past Simcity fan, or even a Sim Game fan, Buy this game. (And if possible, buy Simcity Classic and Simcity 2000 too. Trust me, they're cheap, and you can see your Simcity Classic games on Simcity 2000, and Simcity 2000 games on Simcity 3000!)
